  • Perfect spot for a Family Vacation

"We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful spot while visiting the Black Hills. Everything we wanted to see was close by. The house itself is beautiful and well equipped with anything you might need to prepare meals, entertain family or simply relax. We were a family group of 6 adults ranging in age from 49 to 80. The beds were great. The house was spotless. The hot tub was used everyday and really nice at night with the stars. I would recommend this house to everyone. Thanks for everything!!!"

  • Beautiful setting! Great amenities.

"We loved the property. We didn't know there was apparently a burn ban, so we had a great fire going in the fire pit before the owner showed up and had us extinguish it. Would be best to have a sign on the fire pit to warn of any burn ban. Glad we didn't get fined! Also might want to warn people that they likely won't have cell phone service in the area so maybe bring a map/printed directions."

  • Great Family Reunion Spot

"Our family scheduled a reunion in Hot Springs, SD over Father's Day weekend in order to be close to an aunt in a nursing home there. We are originally from the NE corner of Wyoming and several family members grew up in the Black Hills, so it was perfect. The Angostura Lodge was ideal for our reunion. There were 5 rooms that each had 2 queen beds and a bathroom. Those rooms were great for the older members of the family and even included one with a handicapped bathroom. The Family Lodge had 2 great rooms: one was the kitchen/dining/living area and the other was a dorm room with four queen beds. The younger cousins and their kids all enjoyed the community living in the dorm. The common area was large enough for all of us to enjoy a sit down meal. A large gas grill was provided as were a lot of kitchen amenities. The big front yard included a fire pit where the kids were able to toast marshmallows each night. We were close to Angostura Lake and the town of Hot Springs, which is much less crowded that Custer and was very quaint. The owner, Mike Derby, came by every day to make sure everything was okay and did a fine job of taking care of us. I would highly recommend the Angostura Lodge for any large gathering. We had 32 attendees (with one family in a motor home that they were able to park right there) and we were all very comfortable. And the price was right!"

  • Spacious beautiful home away from home.

"We had a family reunion with 8 adults and one child. It worked out perfectly. Each couple had their own bedroom, the kitchen was spacious and well stocked. The men enjoyed playing cards in the "man room". Plenty of seating for the entire family to eat together. Beautiful furnishings and comfortable beds. I would recommend this house to anyone."
