  • The Real Deal

"We just completed a wonderful week's stay at the Elk Crossing house, and can't wait to go back. The house and furnishings were just as promised with plenty of room. We chose the house for our first visit to Big Sky for a family vacation - my wife and me, two sons and daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren 7 and younger. The kids enjoyed the bunk room, play room, popcorn machine, hot tub, river, and stuffed animals. The location is great - a couple of minutes to the Town Center and 15 minutes up to the Mountain Village, and five minutes to great fishing on the Gallatin River. We were able to watch the Big Sky 4th of July fireworks display from the front yard, and enjoyed several meals at the large table on the deck with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The South Fork of the West Fork of the Gallatin River running right behind the house gave us hours of fun and fishing, with a dozen trout caught at the house. The owner, Amy, is friendly, accommodating, and responsive; she volunteered to purchase a new high-chair and pack'n play for our stay. We can't say enough good things about the house; our 5-year old grandson said he wants to live there! We'll definitely be back."

  • Best vacation stay and what a location!

"We stayed for 7 nights at Lanelle's condo and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed at in Hawaii. We had out two year old boy/girl twins with us and this was the first Hawaii trip since we had our twins. I was so pleased Lanelle's condo had everything suited not just for adults, but I mean everything for our twins! The kitchen was stocked with dishes and cups catering to the little ones. The condo was also equipped with not only fins/snorkel for adults, but Lanelle even had floating body/arm vests for our twins. Thanks to the floating vests, my twins were swimming all over in the lagoon and pools. Location, location, location! Due to having little ones, we decided to choose Lanelle's condo since it's located on the ground floor level. The french doors near the kitchen/dining room opens all the way and leads right onto the back lanai. We ate on the lanai every morning (go to Costco and stock up, only about five minutes away) and it was so peaceful. Our twins enjoyed the birds and weasels (I think they were weasels) coming up to us as we enjoyed breakfast. The condo had nice, large, thick beach towels and with the full size laundry/dryer inside the condo it was so convenient. Deep bath tub made it so much nicer to our twins to take baths together and having the separate shower was a bonus. I couldn't believe how much privacy we had not only in the pools, but at the beach. We swam in the lagoon beach and pools everyday and I counted less than 10 people each day on the beach. No crowds like Waikiki and it really felt like we were on a private beach and the pools on the property were the ones you see in magazines and tv. There was a pool specifically designed for little ones, with the entire pool being only 1.5 feet. Talk about letting your kids play freely in the pool and enjoying drinks from the bar, which is located at the pools. I highly recommend this property to families who want peace and quiet, but most of all being away from all the busy traffic and foot traffic like Waikiki. Lanelle, thank you very much for having us and I can honestly say our family has found our new vacation home from here on out when we return to Hawaii."

  • Perfect vacation home for groups or large families

"We spent a week in this wonderful house and all the reviews were spot on. The location is great: gorgeous, quiet setting but only a few minutes drive into Vail village or on the shuttle. The house itself is warm, inviting and has a great open layout with a deck, hot tub and grill. The kitchen was open and never felt crowded even with 10 people around! Jane is an excellent hostess and the house was stocked with everything we needed from kitchen items to linens to board games. We stayed here with multiple families (and multiple kids) and the layout easily fit everyone in the main common area comfortably as well provided plenty of privacy with both upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. The kids especially loved the bunk beds. Jane went above and beyond when the Colorado weather caused a change in our travel plans -- unexpected and greatly appreciated! We can't wait to go back."
