  • What a View!

"This cabin was just perfect! The house is beautiful and has spectacular views overlooking a valley and Gatlinburg. It has plenty of room for groups of people without feeling cramped. Its located within a short drive of both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge where we went for some meals and sightseeing. Gatlinburg is gorgeous and still decorated for Christmas until the end of February. Stairs and stairs and more stairs, but well worth it. Drive way a little difficult to navigate, best to drive past, turn around and drive straight in. The kitchen is completely stocked, but the quality of pots, pans and skillets is limited and disappointing. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking, bring your own to ensure quality of meals. Every appliance needed is there, clean and ready. This was a short stay for us, but we definitely will be coming back!"

  • Cub's Cove

"Our short stay in Cub's Cove cabin was very nice. The main entrance, windows and deck face trees and foliage with a pretty view, so you are not looking at roof tops. We enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace in the evening after day hiking in the park, dinner and sightseeing downtown. The cabin is very cute, nicely decorated, and has limited basic amenities as stated. If you plan on an extended stay, you would definitely need to buy extra things like toilet paper, paper towels, soap etc. The setup is comfortable with plenty of drawer and closet space, flat screen in livingroom and bedroom, and a radio in kitchen. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The cabin community, Black Bear Falls is also clean and well maintained. The development is conveniently, just a short drive to grocery stores, a large choice of restaurants and shopping. There are many different activities to choose from offering something for everyone. For our November visit we enjoyed the National Park, hiking and sightseeing, shopping in downtown Gatlinburg, Ober Gatlinburg taking the cable car to the top where did some shopping, rode the Alpine coaster and toboggan sled, and dining at several different restaurants in town. I didn't give 5 stars because of some things missing that I think important and are basic conveniences or comforts. Bathroom: needs a better quality showerhead for stronger water pressure and more streamlined water output. There are no hooks for towels and clothing in bathroom. Shelving is needed in bathroom as well for toiletries, as there is only small sink counter area and back of toilet to put things. Bedroom: my husband thought the mattress was too hard. We both agreed there should be more luxurious bedding provided. Livingroom: definitely time to replace the couch, which was hard and uncomfortable to sit on. Made me wonder about the pullout bed inside the couch. Loft: pool table is nice, but a bit too big for space and I guess can't be remedied. There absolutely needs to be more lighting such as table or floor lamps provided in livingroom and bedroom. In evening, when in hot tub there should be additional lighting that can be used that is not so glaring as the porch lighting. Overall, we enjoyed the stay, and I would recommend Cub's Cove. I added these comments only as constructive criticism. In my opinion, these small changes would add comforts and conveniences to help make Cub's Cove a 5 star ultimate retreat."

  • Awesome cabin!

"My family of 6 had a great time at Roger's cabin. Close to town, easy to find, comfy, cozy, well maintained and clean! We had fun using the pool table and jacuzzi. All the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets. There is also a good assortment of dvd's available. Kitchen was well equipped although I used the stove maybe twice - hey, I was on vacation! Haha! There are 3 levels and each level had a bedroom and it's own bathroom. Worked out great for my family. Roger was easy to get a hold of and was very kind and accomodating. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone! So happy it snowed while we were there, being that we live in Florida. The kids had a blast! The best part was that, the owner Roger, being in an association, the driveway was plowed for us which was very helpful! Thanks again for a great vacation and accomodations!"
