  • Wonderful mountain retreat

"My extended family, 17 in all, stayed here for a week in August. The home was perfectly laid out so that the teenagers had the second floor "entertainment" area, and the younger kids and adults had the first and third floors. There were lots of wonderful hiking trails nearby and downtown Gatlinburg was a nice area to shop. Close to the grocery store and easy to find your way around. The views from the home are outstanding. It is located in a subdivision, so there was definitely some noise from other homes mostly in the morning. The weather was HOT, but the a/c kept up and the house was comfortable. We hiked almost every day (saw lots of black bears), went white water rafting, zip lining, miniature golf (Hillbilly Golf!), mountain biking, horseback riding and shopping. Mostly dined in due to the size of the group, but the kitchen was made to accommodate large crowds with double ovens, two dishwashers, two refrigerators and lots of counter and table area. The homeowner was great to work with and responded to my questions very quickly."

  • Louisana

"My family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. Location was great. Grocery store was very close which was a lot of help since we cooked several meals to help with expenses. Our third morning we saw a very big black bear right off our balcony. Mrs. Laura answered me right away if I had any questions during the week. Our highlights, Dixie Stampede, zipling at Legacy Mountain, rafting with Big Bear, Grotti falls"

  • Cubs Crossing # 349836

"This was the best vacation experience ever! The Cubs Crossing cabin was way above expectations! Very reasonably priced. The view of the Smoky Mountains out of the window was breathtaking! The cabin was so fully equipped for our extended family of 8 people. The listing was well represented on the internet listing. Cabin was so clean! Very peaceful, well kept neighborhood. I would recommend the Cub's Crossing to anyone wanting to vacation in the Smoky Mountains! Excellent hiking opportunities! Great southern hospitality!"

  • Ideal Base for Your Visit to the National Park and/or Gatlinburg

"When my family of five arrived, my daughter said, "Can we live here?" A week later, we were all sad to leave this beautiful cabin. The cabin is located in a log cabin community. You will be located only a few miles from either the National Park or the very touristy downtown Gatlinburg. You will have some neighbors, but the cabin feels private. You are well separated from all the craziness of Gatlinburg. Because this cabin is located on a hilltop, from the back deck, you can see a few neighboring rooftops. Sight lines are well considered, and you can sit in the hot tub on the deck, enjoy the mountain view, and feel that you have total privacy. There is a community pool within a minute or two drive of the cabin. The pool is nothing special (think hotel pool), but it's clean, well maintained and convenient to access. Our kids enjoyed spending a couple afternoons playing there. The interior of the cabin is in excellent condition, very clean and well maintained, and tastefully decorated with a mountain cabin theme. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics. We prepared and ate most of our meals in the cabin, and we had everything we needed. Our favorite feature of the cabin was the deck with the hot tub, porch swing, rockers and beautiful view. The cabin was a good fit for our family of five. Our youngest slept on a twin air mattress, which is provided in the cabin. The entrance to the National Park is easily within reach. If you're looking for a little "off the beaten path" hiking while you're in the area, we would recommend the Porter's Creek Trail in the Greenbrier area. The trailhead is only 10 minutes from the cabin. Do yourself a favor and pick up some of the epic cinnamon rolls from the Mountain Lodge Restaurant, only 5 minutes away."
