  • Excellent Accommodations

"My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were in a great location that was easily accessible to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The chalet was very spacious and beautifully decorated. Leitha was very accommodating to our needs when we had to switch weeks. We will definitely be back again!"

  • Nice Amenities and Beautiful View

"When I first saw this listing there were no reviews posted since 2014. After contacting the owner, she quickly emailed me a link to her management's website where I found many positive reviews for 2015. I am sure she would do the same for you. This mountain chalet is exactly as pictured. The initial booking process with Chalet Village Properties was easy with one phone call to the number on this website. They provide driving directions to their office and to the chalet. The drive up the mountain to the chalet takes about 15 minutes. The chalet was very clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. There is a covered walkway to the covered hot tub, just outside the back door. There are other homes nearby, but they are nestled in the trees and you just don't notice them. It was quiet and peaceful. Downtown Gatlinburg is at the foot of this mountain. We arrived during the busy foliage season. During our stay the main street in Gatlinburg was congested with traffic. We found eating out and parking easier in Pigeon Forge so we took the Gatlinburg By Pass and 441which is a very short, pretty drive to Pigeon Forge. The Log Cabin Pancake House in Pigeon Forge has good breakfast choices and was reasonably priced. To see the mountain foliage we first stopped at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center / National Park Visitor Center on Hwy 441 between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and got a map of the Smoky Mountains. We drove on 441 to Clingman's Dome, the highest elevation in the mountains. Then we took Newfound Gap to Cherokee and Soco in South Carolina. Then back tracked on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Hwy 441 and on to Gatlingurg. The heavy, stop and go traffic in the mountains averaged 6-9 miles per hour on this Saturday and the trip took all day. The weather was sunny and provided a clear view of the high mountain colors. We did the foliage tour in New Hampshire last year, but the Smoky Mountain foliage won the prize this year. I would recommend this chalet for anyone touring Gatinburg, Pigeon Forge, or the Ober Mountain Ski area. Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge are both full of fun things to do. The area appeals to all ages. We enjoyed our trip to this chalet and the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Whitson and Jistel couples from Texas"

  • Dream Vacation

"My family and I LOVED our vacation in Gatlinburg. Although some of the love had to do w/ Gatlinburg itself, but a huge portion of our vacation love came from staying at Cloudy Dreams. We loved how welcoming, well equipped, homey and how obviously well loved the property is. Immediately after opening the door, we all smiled and felt extremely lucky to be able to stay here. We watched sunrises; we watched a little rain drizzle, we watched the clouds and haze and the ever changing views. My children already want to re-book as soon as possible. We spend time relaxing, chatting and reconnecting. Cindy sent us so much useful information in her packet to us, as we had never been there before. We would definitely stay here again! We keep saying to each other, "I wish we were back at Cloudy Dreams.""

  • Black Bear Lodge review

"Our stay at Black Bear Lodge was outstanding. The chalet is very well decorated and comfortable. The owners were very nice and worked extremely hard to make sure we were satisfied with everything. The cabin offers many amenities including a hot tub, grill, pool table and video games. The cabin also has a great view of the mountains and is located on a very private street. The cabin is strategically located between Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Park. We already booked our reservations for next year."
