  • Lovely cabin, great location, wonderful experience!

"We had the best stay! Close to town and market that delivers! The owners were such a pleasure to communicate with! The fireplace and hot tub were so cozy on a chilly evening! I have found our home away from home!"

  • Incredible view from a great home away from home!

"We jumped at the chance to take a last minute family trip to ski Ober Gatlinburg. Terry was fantastic with helpful info and even driving directions. We learned not to trust Google Maps and Navigation in this area. We were there immediately after a snowstorm and Google took us up steep ice covered roads and back down just to rejoin the highway we were just on. Study maps and know where you're going if the roads are icy. When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was the incredible view! No photos do it justice. Then we noticed how well the cabin was decorated. Since we were there just after Christmas, we enjoyed the three christmas trees. The wood burning fireplace was a hit too. Terry has decorated and supplied this cabin with everything we could have wanted to fully enjoy our stay. Thanks, Terry, for making it available and for making it so enjoyable!"

  • A Nice New Year's Getaway

"My wife and I spent December 29th through New Year's morning at the Summit Condos in Gatlinburg. We stayed in the studio rented to us by Jim and Sheila Avery. We were very pleased with our accommodations. The condo was attractively and comfortably furnished and immaculately clean. The view of Mt. LeConte was as advertised: truly spectacular. The bed was excellent, and the bathroom, though small, featured an excellent shower. Inclement weather forced us to spend a great deal of our time in the condo, but it felt homey and cozy to us, especially with a warm fire crackling. I gave our condo four stars instead of five for two reasons. Closet space is at a premium, causing us to have to store luggage under tables and in corners. (Granted, we packed enough for a week-long stay.) But as it is a studio, there is probably not much the owners can do about this. However, I do recommend that they replace the cooking utensils; they did leave much to be desired. Those matters aside, we picked a perfect place to see in the New Year. (Of course, our joy was mitigated by the ruins of burned homes scattered across the mountainside; how the Summit escaped the wildfires is beyond me.) We would definitely consider a return visit - particularly in the autumn - and we would certainly recommend the Summit Condos - particularly Number 6105."
