  • Awesome experience!!

"My niece just had her wedding over Labor Day weekend in Gatlinburg and she booked both bride and groom families at the Cranzdorf. I cannot begin to tell you how incredibly AWESOME this place is! I have been taking vacations to Gatlinburg like 4 different times, staying in various cabins. We were a large group of 30 plus, and everyone was beyond satisfied with the rooms, space, pull out couches, laundry, jacuzzi, kitchen space, EVERYTHING was incredible! We had the reception right there in front, setting up chairs, tents for shade, etc..absolutely beautiful! We all talked about how we will put together another family/friends get together here again. I strongly recommend this breathtaking cabin to anyone who truly appreciates and wants to experience the complete Great Smoky Mountains experience! Thank you for providing us with a lifetime of great memories!"

  • Overall it was a good stay, with a few hiccups along the way.

"Overall it was a good stay, with a few hiccups along the way. Juts remember that each cabin has a name and if that's not the one on top of your envelope you pick up, then you may end up at the wrong place. Also the hot tub was out of service for us which was a huge bummer. On the other hand, the views were amazing!! The outdoor fire pit was pretty sweet too!"

  • Just as Advertised

"Heavenly View is a cozy, warm little home away from home. Everything looks just as the pictures portray and more. What you can not see is the loft bedroom which is a cute yet private room. Our family of 7 adults and one toddler stayed the whole week of Thanksgiving and everyone had their own space, bedroom, and bathroom. The first floor living area has comfy couches and chairs and plenty of sitting at the dining table and even though the kitchen is small, it had everything you could need for making breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our family made our thanksgiving meal at the cabin. There is a grocery store a few miles down the road which we utilized for all our meals. Since the cabin is so far from town I suggest buying groceries. There were plenty of utensils and cookware. An ice maker, dishwasher and even coffee pot were used frequently during our stay. We did not use the hot tub however the views from the patio are lovely. I give it 4 stars simply because the drive is quite farther than we would have liked from town and some of the board games were missing pieces. There is an upstairs and downstairs which can be tricky with young children. The king bed was somewhat uncomfortable (but that is a personal preference) however we did get rest. Lois is wonderful to work with and extremely helpful with any questions. I definitely recommend this cabin."

  • Perfect Family Getaway

"We planned a family summer vacation in the mountains to celebrate our parents' 60th anniversary -- we are so happy we chose Grizzly's Den! The cabin was spacious, clean and well-appointed. There were 17 of us and we had plenty of room -- also, it was great to have a big enough table and enough chairs to all be able to sit and enjoy meals together. We cooked the majority of our meals at the cabin and there were plenty of pots, cooking utensils, plates, etc. We were short on towels when we arrived, but we alerted the owner and received more towels within several hours. One of the best parts of our stay was seeing bears - not just once, but on several occasions, right in the back yard. The day we arrived, a mother and cubs showed up to welcome us! A couple of storms rolled through during our stay which resulted in brief power outages on two evenings. Being from Florida, we are used to this and weren't terribly inconvenienced -- but if we could make one suggestion it would be for flashlights to be stashed away for guests to use in those situations, as the cabin can get pretty dark at night. All in all, we had a great stay at Grizzly's Den. We hated to leave and would definitely stay at this cabin again!"
