  • It was Heavenly!

"Heavenly Views is a lovely cabin- very spacious and well-appointed, with magnificent views of the Smoky Mountains. Our favorite thing to do was just sit on the porch and watch the light and shadows shift on the mountain, and if we had done nothing else we would have had a wonderful time. Our family enjoyed playing pool, watching the Olympics on the large screen tv, and stargazing from the hot tub. We toured the Arts and Crafts Loop, went into Gatlinburg a few times just to walk around and have snacks or a meal, hiked and did 2 auto tours in the park, visited Cherokee, NC and more. Heavenly Views was only a short distance from all activities, yet worlds apart once we got up the mountain to our home away from home. Lois was so helpful from the beginning of the rental process. She was full of knowledge and tips, and fun to talk to. Everything was neat, immaculately kept and prettier than described. The beds and linens were comfortable, the kitchen stocked with anything you’d need to cook with, including a crockpot, and there were paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and etc) to last for a few days. I can’t say enough good things! Thanks, Lois, for a vacation my family will never forget!"

  • GREAT time!

"My entire family loved the cabin! The views are amazing and it is a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg (we enjoyed being away from the crowds of tourists!) The drive though the golf course and the geese walking near the creek was always a welcome sight coming and going off the mountain. I enjoyed listening to the birds calling and my grandson even saw a bear close to the cabin! We stayed 7 night in June of 2016. We had 25 people (12 adults and 12 kids under the age of 10) and there was plenty of room for all of us. Some of the kids doubled on futons in the basement, but they are small so it worked well for us. Plenty of table space for all of us to sit down to eat at one time. Always had plenty of hot water, even with everyone showering and the laundry going. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and cooking supplies. The hot tub was relaxing and the kids really enjoyed playing pool in the basement. The swimming pool was perfect, but a little bit of steep, winding roads to get there -- nothing to be afraid of, just be ready for it! All in all, we had a great time and would definitely stay again if we ever went back to Gatlinburg. We really appreciate Susan and Jim sharing their home with us."

  • Christmas in the Smokies

"My family and I stayed in Bear Hallow over Christmas. We all live in different areas of the world. So when we all arrived, it was wonderful. What a beautiful cabin to spend our reunion together in. The pictures don't do it justice. It is amazing! Their were thirteen us and we all fit perfectly. The view was gorgeous! The management team was so helpful. I highly recommend it! We will definitely be back. Thank you Kelly for all your help in making this happen!"
