  • Beautiful Place, Scary Drive

"The cabin is beautiful and has top notch appliances, bedding, and decor. You probably won't find any place that is nicer than this cabin. The jetted tub inside and hot tub outside should please just about anyone. The property managers do a really nice job. The towels are folded into swans, etc to greet you just like on a cruise ship. It is not totally secluded as there are 3 cabins within eyesight, which was fine with us. We are not into being hermits. The roads are paved but unless you frequent the mountains often, you might find it a good idea to find this cabin in the daylight. Further, if you are not a mountain person, understand this cabin is on top of the mountain. You should have good brakes and good tires and you definitely should not have a trailer attached. There are multiple ways to get to this cabin. It is much less stressful to go through Gatlinburg, go past Food City on Parkway and turn left at the light. That is a the road with many, many arts and crafts stores and few good restaurants. We considered this a "back route". Do not go toward Pigeon Forge and take the route off that main road. It will scare non mountain people half to death. Your GPS might say it is a bit shorter or something but that is meaningless because you will drive so slow on the twisted, steep roads. Even on the good road, you will need to keep your vehicle in 2nd and 3rd gear. On the front road, you will not be able to see the road in front of you at times. You will have "infinity hood". Although it's listed as Sevierville, it is not in Sevierville. The address totally confused local folks. Trust me. Take the back route. It will save you time and white knuckles, not to mention there are cool shops along the way. This cabin is a great cabin for staying in. I don't think it is one for hiking around. The brush is dense and the terrain is steep. If you want to hike, drive through Gatlinburg toward Cherokee, NC. There are beautiful trails all along the way. For whitewater rafting, we used Nantahala Outdoor Center and rafted the Pigeon Forge. You won't run out of things to do. The owner is very nice and communicates often and takes very good care of this property."

  • Picture Perfect Retreat

"Cabin was spacious, nicely furnished, clean and had beautiful views. Our party was quite a varied group from a 27 year old couple, a 60 year old female and 94 year old female - we each found the cabin to be very accommodating. The rooms were clean and with sleeping accommodations available on all levels it was easy to find space suited to each individual's needs. The game room and hot tub were enjoyed and a pleasant way to spend an evening. The kitchen was well equipped and the washer and dryer were handy and a much appreciated amenity after a day spent zip lining and river rafting. The location is convenient to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge as well the many attractions each offers. On the last night of our stay we returned to the cabin at dusk and observed a black bear roaming around - quite a thrill for us all!"

  • very nice and clean.

"Great experience overall. Enough space for everyone and great amount of dishes for all. Disappointed we couldn't turn on the hot tub and there were no instructions on how to do so."

  • Perfect for Our Family - Great Cabin & Location

"It had been a few years since we visited the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area so we were happy to be back. This cabin is everything described and pictured, plus! The three levels allowed our extended family privacy when needed. It didn't take long for the pool table to bring out competitive spirits. The kitchen was well stocked, as was the entire cabin - whatever we needed was there. The porches are large and comfortable, and as other reviewers have written, the area is spectacular. Bring your binoculars or you'll find yourself buying some while there, like I ended up doing. We wanted to stay in the cabin all the time, but that's not why we went to the Smokies. There is so much for the family to do, and it is all so close and convenient. We were wiped out at the end of every day so Cubs Crossing became our oasis every evening. A great way to unwind and enjoy nature. The owner is very easy to communicate with and we experienced no problems. (You can stay connected if you really have to - the WIFI was very handy.)"
