  • What a treat!

"We booked this cabin to get away from the city and enjoy family time with our two kids and my in laws. This place far exceeded my expectations! What a beautiful home with an equally breathtaking view. One thing that I was pleasantly surprised with was the quality of the cookware in the kitchen, believe me it makes a huge difference to have decent pots and pans. I really appreciate all of the detail and hospitality. Ken was very nice to work with and I really enjoyed staying at this beautiful cabin."

  • We had a wonderful stay here.

"The cabin was very neat, clean, and comfortable. It was in a great location, providing easy access to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. There are several other cabins close to this one, but once you're in the house and looking out the large expanse of living room windows it feels secluded. The deck is surrounded by trees, making it private, and we loved drinking our morning coffee out there and using the hot tub at night. We used the pool table a lot too. Prior to our trip, each time I emailed the owner, Elaine, with a question she responded in a timely fashion and during our trip when the xbox controller wouldn't work she had it fixed the very same day. We were really pleased with everything and would definitely stay there again. My only suggestion is I'd love to see some comfortable seating in the loft. While there is a TV up there, we hardly used it because the only option was to sit on the floor (there is a high top table and chairs in the opposite corner of the room but that doesn't really work for tv watching). Even a couple bean bag chairs would help. Also, be aware that even though there is a play station 2 provided there are no games for it so it was useless for us."

  • Nice house and good location

"This was a great option for us - family of five had plenty of space. We did not end up using the bedroom in the basement - It was too far away from the rest of us and on the ground level by the door, so I wasn't comfortable leaving a 10 year old down there alone and he wasn't really either (and it was darker having no window as others pointed out). The basement/garden level also seemed a little dirtier because traffic has worn harder on that entryway. So we were squished into three bedrooms, but it worked ok. We all enjoyed the game tables and hot tub, which were not in perfect shape, but this is a rental mountain cottage and not a five star, so it was great for us and worked just fine. The decks are great with a very nice view and everything was clean and well furnished - we didn't lack for anything. I would not have tried to squeeze more than 5 or 6 into this house though because the living and kitchen eating area is not huge - maybe 800 square feet altogether - but we had plenty of room because our kids are all under 10 and we we're off exploring most days. We all had a great time - thanks!"
