    "This was everything we imagined and more! Every review I have read about Westgate was positive except for the high-pressure sales pitch you have to sit thru. Renting direct from the owner meant we didn't have to waste time with all that! The condo was lovely. Well stocked with everything we needed. Perfect time of year to see the fall foliage. Thank you for everything!"

  • Family Fun in the Smokies

    "Fantastic stay at this lovely resort nestled into the mountains of the Smokies! The unit was clean, spacious and well stocked with certain basic supplies needed for our stay. The staff was great about replacing any of these supplies or any towels/linens as needed, upon request. The staff was also very helpful upon check-in with locating our unit (someone led us up on a golf cart, and then helped us take all of our bags up to the room and answered any questions we might have had), and with answering questions we had along the way during our stay. We had an issue with the jetted tub working during our stay, but someone came up to fix it right after we called to ask if we were missing something with how to get it stopped working again later, but I'm sure if we wanted to call someone would have been right back up to take a look at it. We very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet (reasonably priced and our kids basically were free since they are still pretty young--11 months, 2 years), the playground and the waterpark during our stay! It was awesome to be able to go to the waterpark as often as we wanted since passes were included with our stay! We did get 2 calls during our stay from staff trying to get us to go to a sales pitch, but after a few "no thank you's" we were back into our vacation again. The only other issue I would say is that you do hear people from other rooms around us walking around or occasionally conversing next door, but I never found it disruptive or had an issue with any of it waking our kids up, so it was fine with me. We had a great time overall...we found the accomodations clean and spacious and the staff very friendly, to sum it up. There was plenty to do and we had a great time doing it! Thanks so much!"

  • Perfect getaway weekend with million dollar view!

    "We loved our stay at this cabin and our weekend in the Smoky Mountains. It was very comfortable, the bed, the sofa, everything! We would definitely stay here again if we ever visited Gatlinburg again. The view once you reach the cabin from the driveway is absolutely breathtaking, and we loved looking at it from the hot tub each day we were there! It was so private, even from the other cabins on the same driveway, but it was only 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg/the park. The driveway as mentioned in other reviews was quite steep and unpaved to this cabin in particular but we were fine in our SUV. We also saw the construction site that was down in front of the cabin, though it was the weekend so no construction was actively going on. We hoped that it wouldn't ruin the privacy on the cabin once it was finished! Also, we were there Halloween weekend in the fall and the cabin did have a ladybug problem. We swept the ladybugs off the floor multiple times a day, and we would find many bugs a night ricochetting off the two fans and landing on the bed, floor, table, etc. This did not ruin our weekend in the slightest, but it was definitely noteworthy. Besides that, the cabin was pretty well stocked with everything you could need! (Though we couldn't find oven mitts, and some wine glasses and a second rocking chair on the porch would have been nice.)"

  • A different kind of Paradise

    "Having to change plans quickly after Hurricane Matthew made visiting Myrtle Beach impossible, I was happy to have found this rental at the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort. It was huge and beyond our expectations. The rooms were large, the beds were super comfy and everything was clean and ready upon arrival. Dawn was great to work with, even called ahead requesting that we get a ground level unit, since I am in desperate need of knee replacement and the steps in a higher unit would have been challenging. The staff at Westgate were the friendliest and the food at both the main restaurant and the bar restaurant were equally good. An awesome breakfast buffet is available at a reasonable cost every day. Although we did not use the waterpark, it was enjoyed by many kids and families on the property. The weather was as close to perfect as we could have hoped and the leaves were just beginning to show some color. The kitchens were well appointed and they even offered housekeeping mid-week. Anybody who rents this property will not be disappointed! Robin & Bob Tanner, Fairfax Station, Va."
