"Heavenly View is a cozy, warm little home away from home. Everything looks just as the pictures portray and more. What you can not see is the loft bedroom which is a cute yet private room. Our family of 7 adults and one toddler stayed the whole week of Thanksgiving and everyone had their own space, bedroom, and bathroom. The first floor living area has comfy couches and chairs and plenty of sitting at the dining table and even though the kitchen is small, it had everything you could need for making breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our family made our thanksgiving meal at the cabin. There is a grocery store a few miles down the road which we utilized for all our meals. Since the cabin is so far from town I suggest buying groceries. There were plenty of utensils and cookware. An ice maker, dishwasher and even coffee pot were used frequently during our stay. We did not use the hot tub however the views from the patio are lovely. I give it 4 stars simply because the drive is quite farther than we would have liked from town and some of the board games were missing pieces. There is an upstairs and downstairs which can be tricky with young children. The king bed was somewhat uncomfortable (but that is a personal preference) however we did get rest. Lois is wonderful to work with and extremely helpful with any questions. I definitely recommend this cabin."

  • Wonderful place to spend Christmas!

"Just spent Christmas (5 days) at this cabin and it was wonderful! The weather, other than Christmas Day itself, was mostly cold and wet. So, we spent time together as a family, eating, drinking, playing games, watching movies, enjoying the fireplace and hot tub. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find Christmas lights on outside the cabin and a Christmas tree inside! Had no trouble finding it even at night, however the turn onto the one lane road from the exit off parkway was a little tricky; thought it was a driveway! On Christmas Day it was warm, so we walked down to lake and drove around the neighborhood; very idyllic settings. This cabin is very convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Found a great place to eat which we highly recommend: "3 Jimmy's"; excellent food and prices. The cabin had everything except for extra blankets and beach towels to use for the hot tub. Luckily, there was a Walmart nearby in Pigeon Forge! The owner, Marcie, was just wonderful. I was so concerned when we heard about the fires in Gatlinburg, that we were not going to have a Christmas vacation. Marcie communicated with me letting me know that everything was ok. We did see some nearby homes that were destroyed; it was very heartbreaking, but did not stop people from coming. Gatlinburg streets were full of people! There was an ice maker and water dispenser in the full size fridge; plenty of cooking items and even a crock pot. Remember to bring toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, tin foil, ziplock bags, laundry and dishwashing detergents (regular and automatic), fabric softener, and cleaning wipes if you are staying for an extended period of time, like we did. You might also want to bring your own pillows. It was great to be able to bring our dogs with us, they really enjoyed running around the property. Overall, the cabin was clean, quiet, and slept 3 of us and 2 guests quite comfortably (2 king beds and pull out). Would definitely visit again, pricing was excellent, wish we could've stayed longer!"

  • Very Lovely

"We spent 3 days / 2 nights here and it was lovely! Very clean, very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and so was the couches. There were several cabins close, but it still was very private because of the trees. Location was nice, about 10 minutes or so into Gatlinburg, but longer into Pigeon Forge at about 20 minutes. Very close to the craft community with plenty of local stores for shopping. It is nice to get off the strip and see some of the other areas. One thing I always like to know about is road conditions. I know this is not something the owner can control, but as people may be heading up in cars and such it is something I like to look for in reviews. The road leading to the driveway was steep and one lane. We only saw one other car and that was the morning we were packing up to leave and the cabin a little further on was leaving as well. Parking area was large and covered. Overall, great place to stay!"
