  • So Peaceful

"Cabin was just as described or maybe even a little better. The bed was so comfortable and the hot tub was awesome. It got cool enough both nights for us to enjoy it. Location in proximity to town was terrific. We are looking so forward to our next trip and really hope that your beautiful cabin is available when the time comes. Thank you guys so much for sharing your cabin with us."

  • Dream Cottage

"For the first time in 35 years of marriage my husband and I discovered we would be without any family at the house for Christmas. Perfect opportunity to take a vacation and enjoy our favorite state! I had been a Facebook fan of Grandview Mountain Cottages and had yearned for a chance to stay here. We are cottage/cabin renters for vacations all the time but so many have been let downs once we arrived. Pinecone Cottage was NOT a let down at all! The cottage is more beautiful than the pictures, clean & inviting, perfect for relaxing, private and dog friendly! Ilaeka and Papa Phil are wonderful hosts and pour their hearts into their business. The view from the deck is stunning, even the warmer and wetter Christmas weather did not bother us! We can't wait to book another trip! Be sure to purchase a jar of their honey from the Farmhouse Porch."

  • AVOID AT ALL COSTS ( we can HAVE IT ALL TO OURSELVES!!!) =P Yes, another 5 Star Review...

"Now that the secret’s out I guess we CAN'T have it to ourselves. Starry Nites is ideal for a couple of any age seeking alone time in a quiet, comfortable retreat that’s convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The main floor has a nice kitchen sharing space with a living area. There’s a dishwasher, range, microwave and fridge w/ice maker. (With any cabin, bring a box of baking soda for the freezer as ice typically holds that stale aroma.) The layout is comfortable and the loft has games, 2nd TV and furniture, so a group of 3 or 4 could do fine here (remember: there’s 1 bathroom and really enough space for 1 vehicle). The covered deck is private, secluded by vegetation with a more open view in the winter. There are doors to it off the living area and the bedroom for convenience. (The next cabin up the road has a modest view looking down on it, so keep that in mind when using the hot tub.) It’s right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, so if you want to visit either or both, this is perfect. The drive, on a scale from 1 (flat) to 10 (get your affairs in order) is about a 6: A little windy with a few somewhat challenging places. Our GPS was close, but follow the email directions to be sure. The main is 10 min. going slow, and either town just a quick 5-minute jaunt either way. Perfect! The décor and furniture are current, comfortable and pleasant. The lighting is nice, too, making for a very warm and relaxing feel. The large A-Frame windows are beautiful, allowing the morning sun to gently pour in through the trees. The queen bed is sorta high, and with a ceiling fan above be aware not to bop yourself on the head. We found the bed to be OK – not super comfy but not horrible either. We didn’t use either the Jacuzzi or hot tub, but the latter was clean and plenty warm when we arrived. The bathroom is nice and has an apt.-style washer/dryer in the closet. There’s no fan, so open the window and – just to be safe – bring a can of Febreze. The electronics worked and WiFi was great. There’s parking for 1 vehicle and not much space out front. There’s two cabins up the dead-end road, which has a turn-around that you can use. Starry Nites was easy to find, clean & ready on arrival, and Susan was most delightful to work with. She was prompt and very helpful for us as we were seeking a place last-minute. She’s our hero! The cabin is a sweet value, in a prime but quiet location, and left us needing nothing more. RESERVE AT ALL COSTS! IT'S A VALUE AT ANY PRICE!"

  • Amazing property!!

"Jim and Ellen are absolutely wonderful to work with! Very friendly and helpful. My family stayed 5 nights at this amazing Pigeon Forge property. Perfect location overlooking the parkway and The Island. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable for the entire family. Honestly, we spent the majority of our time out on the patio, which was huge! Pet friendly was a major factor for me and the fenced in yard was a plus. My family loved this property so much that we reserved the house already for a week for next Summer's vacation! Thank you, Jim and Ellen, for sharing your beautiful home with us!!"
