  • Great Stay!

"This was a Grandmother, Daughter, Granddaughter trip. The place was exactly as described and pictured. The bed had great sheets and was extremely comfortable. The condo is small but was just enough room for us. The condo was nicely decorated but without a lot of knick knack things a toddler could get into, which was nice. The condo is at the far end of the main strip, but it was still an easy walk to all things Gatlinburg. It was wonderful to park the car and not have to move it or pay for parking except for driving to Cades Cove. My husband and I typically rent cabins, but if we were looking for a nice place that is convenient, we would definitely rent this unit for a future trip. Didn't use the pools but saw others using them. They appeared to be clean."

  • My Family loved it

"The cabin was great. It had everything we needed, it was clean and in good shape. Just as advertised! That may sound crazy but we have been disappointed in the past by other properties. The location is very nice. It is between pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. We could go either way easily and quickly. The owner of the property was extremely helpful and responded quickly to any questions."

  • We loved our stay!

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Gingerbread House. The location was really easy to get to and the directions were spot on. Check in was a breeze as all it took was a phone call to the office. Parking was in front of the cabin and we had plenty of space for a full size pickup truck. Upon arrival we noticed the hot tub read 85 degrees F. I called and was assured they had just changed out the water for us and it would reach proper temp soon. Within 2 hours it was up to 104 F and was great!! The cabin had every thing we needed to start our vacation. We did buy dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels and extra toilet paper (we left all of it there for the next guest as we only used a small amount) The interior of the cabin was very clean and cozy. The fireplace came stocked with wood and came in handy. We did buy fire starter at the little store down the road. Bed was very comfy (we slept until 10am each day LOL). The TV and cable worked great and had a lot of channels. WiFi worked throughout the cabin. (no pass code needed). Shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. Plenty of towels and wash clothes available. Washer and dryer were awesome to have! The central heat worked wonderful and kept the cabin at 72 f where we set it. The stove, oven and fridge were all spotless and worked well. The water out of the tap tasted very good with no weird odors or colors. The location of the cabin is less than 1 mile from Ober and a 5-7 minute drive to Downtown Gatlinburg. There is a great convenient store a couple of miles down the ill as well as a superb pizza shop. The store has basic supplies and we found ourselves satisfied with the selection they had. During our stay, one of the mornings we woke up to the heater not working (60 degrees F in the cabin) I called the office and they had a repair man out there within a hour to repair it. It was a minor inconvenience which was promptly resolved. Excellent customer service with that! I wish there were a little bit brighter lighting in the cabin (personal preference) and the bathroom vent fan sounds like it will need replacing soon, Those are about the only nitpick things I can think of LOL This is a great cabin if you want to visit Gatlinburg and be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but still be very close. We highly recommend The Gingerbread House!!!! Thank you Diana for the great communication and wonderful memories we made during our stay at your place!"

  • It was cozy.

"Stayed over for Christmas and they decorated for us as a nice surprise. Also, the photos of the place are old and I was happy that there was nice flat screen tvs through the house, including loft. Kitchen was good, small but that's fine. I cooked a lot and we made it work. I would suggest if you plan to cook make sure you bring your own seasonings- even salt. Some places will leave stuff like that behind but not this place. Beds were good and it really was the best place between the towns. Driveway is steep but it's TN, so it's expected. Small cars got up to the other houses fine."
