  • Vacationing in an Arcade

"Our family (Mom, Dad, and five children ranging from 1 to 13) stayed in this cabin for a week and loved it! Our biggest complaint was the fitted sheet in the master bedroom would not stay in place which made sleeping uncomfortable. The furniture is different than in the pictures. There is plastic theater seating in the basement with the projector, not plush recliners as shown. The living room furniture is also different; not as fancy as what is shown. The woods around the cabin have grown up so that the best view is from the 2nd floor rear windows. The hot tub worked, but is on a different side of the rear porch. The basement is only accessible by going through the master bedroom, outside on a deck, and down a spiral staircase. I would only allow older kids to sleep down there. The games were fun, especially the 80s arcade game with Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, and about 25 others. They do have some steak knives now, in case you were worried. We had an issue with the projector bulb and a bulb above the cook top. Both were repaired the same day by very courteous and friendly maintenance staff. The roads are scary; they taught me why vehicles have low gears. I used Low 1 and 2 gears in our van while going up or down the steep hills. We saw a mamma bear and three cubs outside the cabin one morning which made the trip for our kids."

  • Hideaway is a great description!

"The cabin is very clean and plenty big! The location is near everything but very secluded. The only thing that bothered us was the bottom of the driveway. You have to drive really slowly to avoid the ruts and holes in the blacktop. Once you pass them though it's ok. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again! Thank you Mike for everything!"

  • Maggie house

"We stayed in maggie house. For the most part this was a good place to stay. There are pros and cons.... Pros..... Its in an ok location. (I wouldn't say great but ok. Its 28 minutes from Dixie Stampede. It took us at least 20 minutes to get to pigeon forge. Not really close to downtown gatlinburg) Its secluded. Very romantic. Just the right amount of space. Quite. It was clean. And the hot tub was an excellent feature. There are no fees with this company which is 1 of the reasons we chose it. The fees these companies charge are highway robbery! Cons We did not like the way we got the key it did not feel safe. Its on a crazy 1 way gravel road on the side of a mountain. Literally! I was scared to death every time we went down it. Do not try to come here in the winter without a 4x4 and even then there's no way I would do it! There is barely a view in the summer. Which was disappointing. The trees hide it. Overall it was a good cabin. I would probably stay here again but bring the 4x4 next time."
