  • Christmas in the Smokies.

"Great property and fabulous owners who were very friendly and receptive to any needs and questions. Property was somewhat dated, but nothing significant. Beds were comfy and everything worked well. Only pet peeve is that we paid a cleaning fee and were asked to clean the fireplace and cabin before leaving. Great way to spend Christmas as owners had a tree all decked out and stockings were hanging from mantel when we arrived."

  • We loved our stay!

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Gingerbread House. The location was really easy to get to and the directions were spot on. Check in was a breeze as all it took was a phone call to the office. Parking was in front of the cabin and we had plenty of space for a full size pickup truck. Upon arrival we noticed the hot tub read 85 degrees F. I called and was assured they had just changed out the water for us and it would reach proper temp soon. Within 2 hours it was up to 104 F and was great!! The cabin had every thing we needed to start our vacation. We did buy dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels and extra toilet paper (we left all of it there for the next guest as we only used a small amount) The interior of the cabin was very clean and cozy. The fireplace came stocked with wood and came in handy. We did buy fire starter at the little store down the road. Bed was very comfy (we slept until 10am each day LOL). The TV and cable worked great and had a lot of channels. WiFi worked throughout the cabin. (no pass code needed). Shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. Plenty of towels and wash clothes available. Washer and dryer were awesome to have! The central heat worked wonderful and kept the cabin at 72 f where we set it. The stove, oven and fridge were all spotless and worked well. The water out of the tap tasted very good with no weird odors or colors. The location of the cabin is less than 1 mile from Ober and a 5-7 minute drive to Downtown Gatlinburg. There is a great convenient store a couple of miles down the ill as well as a superb pizza shop. The store has basic supplies and we found ourselves satisfied with the selection they had. During our stay, one of the mornings we woke up to the heater not working (60 degrees F in the cabin) I called the office and they had a repair man out there within a hour to repair it. It was a minor inconvenience which was promptly resolved. Excellent customer service with that! I wish there were a little bit brighter lighting in the cabin (personal preference) and the bathroom vent fan sounds like it will need replacing soon, Those are about the only nitpick things I can think of LOL This is a great cabin if you want to visit Gatlinburg and be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but still be very close. We highly recommend The Gingerbread House!!!! Thank you Diana for the great communication and wonderful memories we made during our stay at your place!"

  • Heaven On Earth

"My husband and I recently spent our 40th Wedding Anniversary and my birthday in the GSM as we always do. This year was different, we found Heaven on Earth in this wonderful cabin. We have stayed in a lot of different places through the past forty years, but Waterfall Cabin is by far is the most amazing, relaxing and perfect cabin we have ever stayed in. Jessi, Lisa and Jerry was all absolutely wonderful, they all went out of their way to make us feel like we were at home. Everything was super clean, the beds were so comfortable, as were the swivel chairs in the living room. They made this the best vacation we have ever had. We cook a lot when we stay this long, and they had everything we needed, all we had to supply was the food. There is so many places inside and outside to enjoy Gods Creation. Although it was very dry throughout the mountains, and streams were low, the waterfalls and streams were still flowing all the time and so relaxing. We loved sitting on the front porch swing, especially early in the morning and just enjoying the wonders that God created as we listened to the streams and waterfalls. The hot tub outside of the sunroom was awesome. There was so much to do at the cabin, we hated to leave to go out anywhere. The inside was as amazing as the outside was. We loved having the washer and dryer also. Such a perfect place to spend our special day ( and two weeks). Everything was perfect. It was private, yet close to wherever we wanted to go. The back roads took you anywhere you needed to go, especially if the spur was crowded. My only regret is that we did not find this amazing cabin years ago. We cant wait to get back as often as possible. We know that when we do go, we will be going back home. Thank you Jessi, Lisa and Jerry for opening up your home to us to share this wonderful amazing place. You guys are the best. We cant wait to see you again. We finally found Heaven on Earth!!!"

"This was an amazing place and we will definitely be returning. With 20 family members you need room to breathe and this cabin was great. Game room with pool table and Foosball downstairs. Amazing kitchen. Great proximity to area attractions. About 20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg."
