  • Breath taking views!

"The house was very nice and very spacious. We had 12 people and everyone had their own space. The views are beautiful. The lake is right down the hill and the lake is very clean. The house was equipped with everything you need. I would definitely recommend this house and I hope to visit again."

  • Your own personal resort

"This property really is a great getaway! Very comfortable set-up. While the interior of the home is very nice and comfortable, it is the outside area that truly shines. There is literally something to please everyone- young and older. The hot tub and pool area with the outside kitchen area are simply great. It was colder weather during our stay, but we could envision what a great place this would be in the warmer months. Actually it was excellent hot tub weather. Views of the lake can be enjoyed from about every room. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch with comfy furniture and great views. There is also a fire pit and lounge area at the bottom of the easily traversed steps leading to the dock. It was nice having the fireplace and tv's in every almost every room. The steam shower in the master bath was a real treat. The kitchen had everything and more to prepare a meal, as well as, plenty of dinnerware and glasses for outdoor use. Very comfortable king bed in the master ( we didn't use the other bedrooms). Linens were of good quality. We rent many homes during the course of the year and this is a favorite. Oh, I shouldn't forget about the pool table, foosball, games, and movies, wifi, ect. Certainly recommend."

  • Family Gathering in Grainger County

"We are two brothers and three sisters along with our spouses that make a point to spend a long weekend together twice a year. We've stayed in many VRBO rentals as well as others and with us the Bears Den rates right at the top. The five bedrooms and three bathrooms worked out just perfect for our large family. The view from the upstairs sitting area and from the upper deck is wonderful and afforded a perfect place to gather and relax. Everything we needed to enjoy the deck; chairs, cushions, shade, was all provided. We even used the kayak and dock for a few relaxing hours. The dining table is one of the few where we could all ten sit comfortably and there was even spaces left over. Kitchen had every utensil and cooking appliance we needed to enjoy our pancakes and sausage along with any other meal we wished to prepare. We have ancestors from Grainger County so we knew what one day of our activities would be. We drove over the county looking at old homesteads and cemeteries. The countryside is just lovely. On the second day we thought we might drive over to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg but the Bears Den was so comfortable we just laid around enjoying the facilities provided and watched our favorite football games. One of our best gatherings. It is a beautiful, spacious, place for a large family group."

  • Great area to stay, friendly people, quiet nieghborhood

"House is kept in very nice condition, back patio under the trees. You see squirrels, chipmunk, rabbits and deer. Take a long walk in evenings and be greeted nicely by neighbors out doing the same or working in their yards. We have met several people here and it was a welcome change. Close to hiking, Cherokee lake, Douglas lake, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Would and have recommended this to family and friends. Just a great experience. Natalie and I would like to say thanks."
