"We appreciate your hospitality! We were initially set to stay in Gatlinburg, but the cabin burnt down. We started looking for another cabin and the Deans and Hollands (owners) immediately responded to our request. Our new cabin was rented within hours of our first request.
Once we arrived at the cabin, Joyce gave us a thorough tour of both floors. As with the owners the cabin was welcoming and warm. There is an upstairs and a downstairs, which is great when you have multiple generations. This setup allows for ample space, while also providing the opportunity for a family/friends vacation. We were 8 and ranged in ages from 37-41 (4) and 64-72 (4). Needless to say the younger group really enjoyed being downstairs in what we termed the media room. It was spacious and had access to the outside, where we took the opportunity to built a fire (in the fire pit), drank hot chocolate, toasted marshmallows, and told stories until the wee hours of he morning.
The upstairs also had access to the outside where you could sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the ducks swimming in the lake.
The house was fully stocked with extra towels, sheets, toilet paper, papers towels, soap, etc. we had everything we needed. The house was also very clean and the beds very comfortable!!! There are stairs leading to the dock, where you could fish or sit and talk. It was cold for us, so we will need to come back to enjoy the outdoors a bit more 😁!!
The house has a dishwasher in the kitchen and laundry room downstairs with a separate sink which were very convenient.
All in all my family and I were very very very happy with this home. We are also extremely appreciative of the hospitality and the responsiveness from the owners. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to take a break. The cabin was also relatively close to the surrounding cities so it gave us the opportunity to visit gatlinburg and Knoxville, while also enjoying the peace and quiet of the outdoors!!!
Thank you for shAring your beautiful cabin with us!!!
