  • Wonderful!

"My husband & I stayed at Black Bear Crossing for a much needed mini-vacation. The owners answered all emails quickly. This chalet is lovely & very comfortable. The picures do not do it justice! It is located near enough to the main strip to get to everything quickly, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Will definitely check to see if it is available the next time we travel to the Great Smoky Mountains!"

  • Perfect Fit

"This was a perfect fit for our family (6 adults and 4 kids-3 families). It is a beautiful cabin with unbelievable views. The 4 bedroom were enormous with very nice bathrooms and walk in closets. The bunk room was made for our kids and one of the bottom bunks is a double. We used everything this cabin had to offer. The media room was used everyday and when weren't watching movies this an excellent playroom for the kids with a wide open carpeted area. It also kept the noise downstairs. The kids loved the arcade machine and we even had some of the adults on it. The indoor swimming pool was just the right size for our kids (3,5,5&8). We used it to unwind after our days at hiking, shopping, river rafting and Dollywood. The views from all the decks are spectacular. We never got tired of the "smoke" on the mountains and we even saw a double rainbow after an early evening rain shower. Everyone loved the hot tub and there were many pool tournaments in the evenings when the kids were in bed. Now the downside. Even though we were given written instruction on how to get to the cabin, we had to search for the street. Be prepared to look for a rutted gravel road (every other road in the resort is paved) going down into a construction zone. This property is next to two cabins in the middle of construction. The road is lined most days with workers vehicles, construction equipment and construction supplies and construction debris. There is just enough room to get through. Sometimes the road is blocked completely. We woke up to workers burning the debris 20 feet straight out from our front door. There also an enormous hole where we were to park in front of the cabin. It was "taped" off with warning tape but parents have to be mindful of their kids when getting in/out of their cars. We ended up closing the blinds on 3 sides of the cabin and concentrated on the deck views. Another thing to be careful with is the tile deck around the pool. The pool tile is very slick when wet and also is slanted toward the pool. We had some near disasters with little heads hitting the tile floor. Even the adults had problems with this. We would suggest that you wet some of the provided towels and lay them on the floor around the pool for traction. It was disappointing that the main floor length windows leaked during every rain storm. We call it in and supposedly it was to be fixed. Overall a great property in a good location with great amenities. We were spoiled."

  • Most Wonderful Stay!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was by far one of the best places we have ever stayed in the Gatlinburg area. We brought a group of teens from church to stay at this cabin for the week. Everything was so clean and up to date. The game room was perfect for the teens to play! If your bringing a big group may want to bring extra towels for the hot tub or just the extra people. The staff at Eden Crest were great and the cabin was extra clean. Only issue we had the entire time was the Wifi would never work. We called it in but never heard back. It wasn't a big deal for us because we were gone most of the time. But if your in need of it when your there may want to have it checked. Over all this place was great! You cannot walk to downtown from here. It was a good location being at the first light as you go in it was easy to go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. For those of you familiar with the area, you turn right at the Fairfield Inn right as you enter Gatlinburg."
