  • Beautiful view and house - beds are horrible!

"While the view was beautiful and we enjoyed the relaxation away from it all some of the furniture was terrible. For example, the master bed creaked horribly and when I looked between the mattress and box spring there was a piece of plywood between them. I emailed the owner right after we got settled in about the issue and still 2 weeks later have heard nothing from him. We tried sleeping on it 2 nights but for two people with back issues it was miserable. We ended up on the upstairs twin bed which wasn't much more comfortable but at least it didn't have plywood in it. I am very disappointed the owner did not even acknowledge my email or complaint. The couch in the den was not great either. If you sat in the middle cushion you sank down into a pit. The furniture on the 2 decks while rustic and I guess matched the theme were very uncomfortable, no cushions so it was hard to sit out on the decks and enjoy the beautiful view for any length of time. I would not stay there again unless I knew the bed situation at the very least was resolved."

  • Fall Break, October 2016

"We had a wonderful time at Across the Trail for Fall Break. My husband, myself and our 3 kids were able to enjoy the pool table, air hockey, WiFi and Netflix during our stay. The hot tub and Jacuzzi tub were also big hits. The cabin made for a relaxing retreat from our days spent in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with all of the comforts of home. We found several ways to get back to the cabin which was helpful in avoiding some of the traffic. This was our second time staying at this cabin and won't be our last! The owner is very prompt in responding and the cabin is clean and well maintained. They continue to make improvements to the furnishings and cabin as there were several new items added since our last stay. We can't wait to plan our next trip!"

  • Very nice cabin

"My family was very impressed by this cabin. It had great rustic furniture and decor. There was ample room for our extended family of seven, including 3 children. The cabin is conveniently located with easy access to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a great mountain retreat."

  • Stunning Cabin

"We have not long returned from an absolutely amazing holiday in the Smoky's and the beautiful cabin made it even more amazing. Kent and Christine were a joy to book with and I would highly recommend staying in Tennessee Rose. The cabin was spotless and had everything and more that we wanted during our stay. The theatre and pool table was a hit with my children and we enjoyed sitting out on the rocking chairs of an evening Over the 2 week period, we visited the local pool most days - the staff there were so friendly and made us always feel so welcome. The snack bar is great and so reasonable. The cabin is about 15 mins to Pigeon Forge and another 10 mins on to Gatlingburg - the drive to both areas is picturesque and we filled up our 2 weeks with some amazing activities in the area (I can highly recommend Sugarlands Riding Stables, Rafting in the Smokys, The Escape Room, Dixie Stampede, Dollywood/Splash Country, Ole Smoky Moonshine bars, Gatlingburg Zip, Cades Coves where we did see a bear on our way out of the coves which we were all so happy about) If we are lucky enough to travel to the Smoky's again, I would not hesitate in booking Tennessee Rose again - thank you Kent and Christine"
