  • Amazing Sunset View!

"Very nice cabin in a secluded setting with an amazing sunset view! We enjoy all that the Great Smoky Mountains area has to offer. We would enjoy those offerings during the day and make sure we were back at the cabin just before sunset every day. We would hang out on the decks to watch the sun go down and then enjoy the sounds of the crickets and whippoorwills after dark every night. It was SO relaxing! This cabin is dog-friendly and was a great place to vacation with our furbaby."

  • Excellent View

"We stayed in Cozy Bear with 2 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs. The house was clean and looked like the pictures. The hot tub was hot when we got there. We did a lot of tourist things so were not in the cabin a whole lot. (mostly only to sleep) If we had been in the cabin more, it may have gotten a little tight with everybody. It does have 3 separate bedrooms, 1 upstairs and 2 down. They had a full size washer and drawer. (although we didn't use it). Earlier reviews mentioned only 1 shower but there is a second shower in the upstairs bathroom. The outside deck was very nice to sit in the morning. There was also a grill by the deck for those that wanted to grill out. The cabin had excellent views on 3 sides of it. As an earlier review said one of the views had a tree partially blocking it but it wasn't a big deal. The views were still excellent. Most of the tourist things we did required driving 30-45 minutes from there, so if you stay there plan on that. The closest thing we did was Dixie Stampede, which was only about 10 minutes away. The cabin address was in Sevierville, but it seem closer to Pigeon Forge. When you drive up there remember to know the Cabin Name, “Cozy Bear”, because it can get a little confusing on where to go once you are on Timber Ridge Road. I didn’t see a street address on the house or the cabin name, right away. I recognized the house by the pictures on the website. There was no material in the house showing the popular places to eat or visit or instructions for the WiFi, hot tub, where trash goes. (with bears in the area people may not be know you shouldn’t leave trash outside). It would have been nice to look through that. I would suggest to the owner to add a sign showing how to get to Cozy Bear on the poles where you see other cabin names with arrows showing where to go. Also I would suggest getting a bear proof trash can. People don’t want to bother the owners when they have trash to take out. The bed in the 1st floor, to the right of the shower, needs to get replaced. Every time you move the bed made a loud crunchy sound. I exchanged several emails with the owners and they were always prompt to respond in an hour or two. One note, beware of the Dollywood fireworks….one night we were sitting in the house and heard what sounded like somebody on the roof…it turned out being the firework explosions echoing off the roof. The few suggested changes above were minor and over all we had a great experience."

  • Great cabin!

"Laura's cabin at Sunset Ridge was wonderful. The accommodations were terrific. My mom and I played competitive games of Ping Pong every night (and she won every game!). The cabin was secluded and quiet - off the main roads and sits atop a hill which is also nice. However, it was still close to everything in Pigeon Forge. The location also offered a nice back road alternative to Gatlinburg which avoided much of the traffic on the Parkway. The huge wrap-around porch was perfect for enjoying the woods. There was a fire pit in the back that we didn't use but I imagine that would've been fun. The cabin had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Thanks Laura for the great accommodations!"
