  • Great Location for Pigeon Forge -- just needs a bit of TLC and restocking

"Overall I would give this house a 4.25 to 4.5 star rating if I could. The location cannot be beat. It is 6 miles from the main parkway in Pigeon Forge (same distance to Kroger and Publix grocery store). About 5 miles from the less traveled north entrance to the Smoky Mountain Park and 9 miles from Townsend, TN. The view is great but you can hear the street noise from Wears Valley Road. The house is tastefully decorated but it has taken a bit of a beating this summer. Floors are scratched on the main level. The dinner table top has some damage but still worked for our nightly domino games. We liked the three bedrooms each had a king bed. But it was very clean. But the stairs are steep and not recommended for small children and there is not really any place to walk a dog (it says it is pet friendly). The grill is charcoal and has seen better days but still workable. The kitchen needs a bit restocking (cutting board, more silverware, wine glasses, cookie sheet). It comes with only dish and dishwasher soap and had a pepper shaker, so plan to bring all stables. There were plenty of pots and pans but no colander to drain pasta. There was plenty of plates but need more silverware. The bathroom is a bit dark with only one counter and could use some hand towels and additional towel racks. Water pressure was good. Beds were super comfy. The house is tall with 3 levels and one bedroom in a separate loft area ( but with door). We liked the foosball and pool table, but never used the home theater. Odd thing was there was no directions on how to set the TVs (we messed up the output or something on two of them and never got them working again although Brandon the manager offered to come out). Three lamps were missing light bulbs but Brandon quickly rectified that as well as got us more drinking glasses. He apologized for the bit of damage that had happened to the house and promised to do a full inventory and restock it. There was also no information on any activities or restaurants in the area. We did leave our brochures for a future renter. Do be warned that the house has a "for sale" sign in front of it so not sure what the future holds. Be sure to put all trash in the proper container and lock it back up cause on our first day we had a black bear trying to get at the prior renters trash. Brandon (manager) efforts raised this score to 4 1/2 so the owner is lucky to have him."

  • Loved! Loved! Loved it!!

"My husband and I loved it! It was a great getaway for about 5 days. We have teenagers and college guys living in our home (which we love!) however, to get away for a few days, away from the hustle and bustle of work and every day life was ohhh so nice! And this was the perfect place for us - very secluded with no worry of neighbors seeing in. My only complaint (which I remedied) was the hard mattress. I was hardly able to get any sleep my first night which wasn't acceptable for me to stay so I bought a nice memory foam mattress topper (and left for others to maximize their stay enjoyment as well) THEN, for me, everything was perfect - I loved the hot tub and the pool at night and laid down and slept fantastic - just what I needed! (I would definitely choose this home again!!!!)"

  • Wonderful stay

"This cabin was so nice. Comfortable clean 4 large bedrooms and 2 living rooms. Kids loved it. Parents loved having a quiet living space! Wine fridge was great. We stopped on our way home from myrtle beach to break up the drive. Perfect!!!"

  • Absolutely the best cabin we've ever stayed in!

"This cabin was absolutely perfect in every way. It was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated (love the bear theme!) and had everything we could possibly want or need. Our group of 7 adults stayed for a weekend. We had lots of space to spread out and every single mattress was very comfortable. There were nice linens and plenty of them! The kitchen is fully stocked (well, except for wine glasses, ha). The large dining room table was perfect for our card games and the deck with its many chairs was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying nature. The game room would definitely have kept younger guests busy if we had brought some. There were at least 5 t.v.s. We even had pizza delivered after a long day of hiking/ziplining, which surprised us as we WERE in the mountains. The owner, Brian, was super nice and answered all emails quickly. He was a real pleasure to work with. Our group has decided we want to return again and again to this cabin. That's how much we enjoyed it! When it came time to leave, several of our group (and yes, they ARE adults) started whining and moaning and saying "nooooo, nooooo". LOL. We WILL be back!"
