  • Family Getaway

"First off I would like to thank William and Rhonda for sharing their beautiful cabin with us. They are great people to deal with and very helpful. I truly rate this cabin a 5 star. It is everything that you read and more. The third level was a great hit for all our grandkids ranching in age 7 thru 20. They loved playing the PS3 and the pool table and just hanging all together. Great memories were made. We loved the big kitchen we did most our cooking at the cabin really made it easy for our large group. It was just so relaxing for our whole family everyone just loved the cabin was hard to leave. Loved the four king size beds and each had their own bathrooms so nice it worked well for us. You won't be disappointed staying at this lovely cabin. Would highly recommend this cabin to our friends. Thank you again William and Rhonda"

  • Quiet -peaceful-worth every penny

"Love the fact that this cabin was built by the Visser family with love and attention to detail. We felt very comfortable with the furniture and beds. Fishing in Doe creek was fun catching trout. Local Watauga lake is beautiful and worth renting boats out of the marina. The Butler Museum is a must if you enjoy the rich history of an American city tucked away in the mountains. Karen Visser went above and beyond through communication and help answering my questions. Games on site included volley ball net, croquet, corn hole, board games and puzzles and lots of family movies. If you like to read there are scores of books to choose from. Tv and cable worked great with DVD players too. Full kitchen with all essentials for cooking and clean Frig ready for making meals. Best part was the fire pit and dry wood which we enjoyed every evening, roasting marshmallows and talking."

  • Epitome of country relaxation

"From the start to the finish, we found this property perfect. The setting is in the country on the lake, the grounds are so well kept, the rental is very comfortable and well appointed. Everything needed was there, beds comfortable. Just go out on the decks and relax and enjoy the wildlife and scenery. We stayed to attend a school at our Corp office in Gallatin and the commute was great. Highly recommend the rental and Jack and Lenore are wonderful and responsive."

  • Dream Cottage

"For the first time in 35 years of marriage my husband and I discovered we would be without any family at the house for Christmas. Perfect opportunity to take a vacation and enjoy our favorite state! I had been a Facebook fan of Grandview Mountain Cottages and had yearned for a chance to stay here. We are cottage/cabin renters for vacations all the time but so many have been let downs once we arrived. Pinecone Cottage was NOT a let down at all! The cottage is more beautiful than the pictures, clean & inviting, perfect for relaxing, private and dog friendly! Ilaeka and Papa Phil are wonderful hosts and pour their hearts into their business. The view from the deck is stunning, even the warmer and wetter Christmas weather did not bother us! We can't wait to book another trip! Be sure to purchase a jar of their honey from the Farmhouse Porch."
