  • The pelican cove our first visit to galveston

"Just as advertised. Small cottage with small living and kitchen area and 3 good sized bedrooms. Parking enough for our 2cars barely. Fenced yard tiny with 2 sitting areas. Crossing busy street to beach a little scary with a child but 2 blocks easy walk. Good location to historic areas and pier. Clothesline and working washer would have been helpful. All in all house itself is nice but neighborhood has a lot of foot traffic next door all hours and some poorly maintained homes. I hope this improves for owners sake since he obviously cares for his property. We were very comfortable at The Pelican Cove and beach area was nice!"

  • Perfect House for two couples or girlfriends getaway

"We loved this neat and tidy home in a quiet neighborhood! In short - a great rental at a great price - perfect for two couples! Thanks! WiFi, TVs, Cable, and DVD players all worked. Lots of pots and pans, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Plenty of toiletries and paper products were provided too, so we didn't have to bring those. There was also a hairdryer and full sized washer and dryer. No dishwasher and no garbage disposal, though, which could be a consideration if you're planning to cook a lot. We went out for the great local seafood, so not a problem for us. This is a great rental for people who don't mind a short walk. The Seawall is really close, and several good restaurants within a half mile. We liked Miller's Seaside grill for lunch or dinner. (huge portions, great crab dishes) We enjoyed the Sunflower Bakery for breakfast. (Mimosas and Oysters Benedict) The sleeping setup is - two bedrooms, both upstairs - one king and one queen. They share a hall bathroom. The stairs might not be great for little kids or anyone with difficulty climbing, but they were fine for us. There is a second bath downstairs, which was nice because you don't want to go up and down the stairs all the time! There is not a huge amount of outdoor space, but we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. We could feel the sea breeze and met a couple of the neighbors - very nice folks. We would happily stay here again."

  • Very convenient , an adorable cottage, quite roomy!

"We stayed in the two bedroom apartment in an adorable blue bungalow (Bishop's Bungalow) right across from the historical Bishop's Palace and Sacred heart Church on Broadway. Everything was clean, the house was nice and cozy, the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. The only drawback from being on a busy main street was the occasional traffic noise at night. I am glad though that we stayed there. Our other relatives stayed in hotels for two nights and did not have the privacy nor room that we did. And it is close to just about everything!"

  • Awesome Experience!!

"This was my first time using VRBO or renting a house/cottage for vacation. It was so easy and quick. We absolutely adored the cottage and it's convenience to just about everything. The owner and managers were so very friendly and responded quickly. I am already trying to plan another trip soon. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to have a get away and still have the comforts of being at home. Thanks for making this experience a memorable one."
