  • Great experience all around

"If you're looking for a 5 star property, where everything feels shiny and new, this one may not be for you. Dos Sirenas feels like work in progress - some amenities have been updated, while others still need some work. That being said, we had a wonderful time, and felt completely at home during our stay. The house had ample room to accommodate our extended family. The bunk room on the ground floor was a great place for all the kids to hang out, and the other three bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The location is great - just a short walk from the beach, and a short drive from the seawall, and Marian was great to work with. Dos Sirenas is at the top of our list when we start planning next year's stay on Galveston island."

  • Thank you for one of the best Galveston Rental Experiencesmy family and friends could every imagined

"I hosted a retirement weekend gathering for my husband's retirement party serving over 35 years as an Attorney from Washington DC to practicing private law in Houston. Our guest thoroughly had the best time at one of the best locations Galveston can provide. Pleasure Pier, restaurants and fun all within walking distance. The location was perfect for all guests to enjoy themselves enormously. Karen was absolutely fantastic, warm and gracious. The house was accommodating and spacious. Beautiful home away from home feeling. Really enjoyed the porches and view. The backyard pool/deck was great for the kids and was able to accommodated BBQing. Thank you Karen. Looking to forward booking again."

  • Great codon with nice view

"We stayed at the condo during the Labor Day weekend. The condo is very clean and only a short drive away to the Pointe West beach club. The beach here is much better than those in the downtown area. The sand is whiter/cleaner and it's much less crowded. On a clear day the view of sunset from the balcony facing the bay is stunning. The owner Rasmia is very nice and tried her best to make our stay enjoyable. We will stay here again the next time we visit Galveston."

  • 50th Anniversary

"In July 2016 my husband and I, celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, spent two weeks at the Seawall House. With us were our two children and their families and at different times an assortment of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and such. The house was perfect for our relaxed, home-centered, indoor/outdoor activities. As we were located just across the boulevard from the beach, it was easy to spend time with our grandchildren splashing in the surf, boogie-boarding, and sand-castle building. Across the other street was a surf shop which our grandchildren visited almost daily for T-shirts, goggles, and water toys. Much of the time we were able to walk to nearby restaurants (I highly recommend the Ocean Grill and Beach Bar about 4 blocks away which also catered our anniversary celebration meal, which was fabulous.), and one afternoon my daughter and I walked to the Hotel Galvez for a soothing afternoon at their spa. Needless to say, the location was superb. Another favorite pastime was enjoying the balconies, verandas, and patios around the house. The second story balcony was popular in the mornings for the coffee and tea drinkers who loved the shimmering sunny views of the Gulf waters. At night we would tend to move to the front patio to enjoy the cool ocean breezes and let the children play in a child's wading pool which we bought for the times when no one was going to the beach. Several of our relatives slept in the two apartments at the back of the property, and often many of them sat on the backyard veranda late into the night. The third floor was relegated to the children who loved having their own secret place, especially the two beds built into the walls. Many of our family and friends visited museums, went on turtle tours, and watched historic films, but the house was always the center of attention. And as for noise, we learned rather happily that sound did not pass easily between the floors. This was helpful when the children had been put to bed and the adults did not have to worry about wakening them. So, for location, accommodations, and amenities, this house was a wonderful choice for our celebration. As we were leaving my daughter said that she really had not been looking forward to Galveston, which we had visited several times when she was a child, but after this great experience, she said that she was not only ready for another visit but she wanted to return to the Seawall House really soon"
