  • Excellent July 4th !!!

"I booked this property for my family for the July 4th holiday. I was not disappointed. It was plenty space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Upon arrival the check-in instructions were very easy to follow. We booked this property for it's location which is close to everything yet far enough away from the high traffic area of east seawall. The bedrooms were nice and cozy, my wife enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. The master bedroom had a beautiful gulf view which was a treat to wake up to in the mornings. There were televisions in each room , this gave everyone there own little space. My wife cooked our July 4th meal in the kitchen, which was stocked with everything she needed. My family really enjoyed staying here, everything was perfect. We will return in the near future. Thank you! Tips: Bring extra towels, dish detergent, extra trash bags, toiletries(especially soap), and paper towels for the kitchen"

  • The house was just as advertised.

"What a great family vacation we had. The minor road construction did not hinder our stay. We had such a awesome stay and the house was even better then advertise. Every thing was in working order and clean. Thank you for the use of your home."

  • Great House and Great Location

"I was a little apprehensive about vacationing in Galveston because of word of mouth and other popular beaches a few hours away. However, I booked this Bayfront Home during August, and I was extremely pleased with the house and the island. In addition, I wasn't sure this particular property would be nice because there weren't many recent reviews, but the house turned out to be wonderful! Both the property manager and the owner were very nice and informative. The house was clean and had a few spots that were being treated/worked on (nothing bad). Our refundable deposit was also given back to us very promptly! Our group was 8 adults and 4 kids and we were very comfortable. The kids loved the pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, and fishing the stock pond directly out the back door! The house had plenty of pots, pans, utensils, and other such things. The location is on the west end of Galveston (about 20 minutes), but very much worth the drive to get to a nice quiet, well kept area. You could walk to the beach (about 1 mile) without crossing the main road for those wanting to get exercise. This was accessible through a cart tunnel near the property. The club house was very close, as well as the lazy river. We went to both the club house pool and the lazy river area on separate days for a few hours, but spent most of our time on the beach. All in all, I would highly recommend the Bayfront Escape to anyone looking for a great house in a great location! I am already looking forward to booking our trip at this same property next year."

  • Perfect House for two couples or girlfriends getaway

"We loved this neat and tidy home in a quiet neighborhood! In short - a great rental at a great price - perfect for two couples! Thanks! WiFi, TVs, Cable, and DVD players all worked. Lots of pots and pans, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Plenty of toiletries and paper products were provided too, so we didn't have to bring those. There was also a hairdryer and full sized washer and dryer. No dishwasher and no garbage disposal, though, which could be a consideration if you're planning to cook a lot. We went out for the great local seafood, so not a problem for us. This is a great rental for people who don't mind a short walk. The Seawall is really close, and several good restaurants within a half mile. We liked Miller's Seaside grill for lunch or dinner. (huge portions, great crab dishes) We enjoyed the Sunflower Bakery for breakfast. (Mimosas and Oysters Benedict) The sleeping setup is - two bedrooms, both upstairs - one king and one queen. They share a hall bathroom. The stairs might not be great for little kids or anyone with difficulty climbing, but they were fine for us. There is a second bath downstairs, which was nice because you don't want to go up and down the stairs all the time! There is not a huge amount of outdoor space, but we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. We could feel the sea breeze and met a couple of the neighbors - very nice folks. We would happily stay here again."
