  • Perfect House for two couples or girlfriends getaway

"We loved this neat and tidy home in a quiet neighborhood! In short - a great rental at a great price - perfect for two couples! Thanks! WiFi, TVs, Cable, and DVD players all worked. Lots of pots and pans, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Plenty of toiletries and paper products were provided too, so we didn't have to bring those. There was also a hairdryer and full sized washer and dryer. No dishwasher and no garbage disposal, though, which could be a consideration if you're planning to cook a lot. We went out for the great local seafood, so not a problem for us. This is a great rental for people who don't mind a short walk. The Seawall is really close, and several good restaurants within a half mile. We liked Miller's Seaside grill for lunch or dinner. (huge portions, great crab dishes) We enjoyed the Sunflower Bakery for breakfast. (Mimosas and Oysters Benedict) The sleeping setup is - two bedrooms, both upstairs - one king and one queen. They share a hall bathroom. The stairs might not be great for little kids or anyone with difficulty climbing, but they were fine for us. There is a second bath downstairs, which was nice because you don't want to go up and down the stairs all the time! There is not a huge amount of outdoor space, but we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. We could feel the sea breeze and met a couple of the neighbors - very nice folks. We would happily stay here again."

  • Welcome to Spring Break!

"My family and I had an absolutely AWESOME time at the "Gulf Lady"! The pictures don't do the home justice! The home is filled with history, with modern touches here and there. It was supposed to be a rainy weekend and it turned out to be a great sunny spring break! It was wonderful waking up to the sun beaming on your face, which was easy to do with all of the gorgeous windows everywhere! The house is equipped with everything you will need and more. There were 10 of us there but, the home is roomy enough to hold many more. The pool was a bit cold but it didn't stop us from enjoying it! Barron was a pleasure to work with and we even got to meet Barron's mother, Dr. Bennings, who was the cutest and the most adorable 95 year old I have had the pleasure of meeting. We can't wait to come back again! Thanks so much for having us! Lisa M."

  • Great place to stay for beach goers

"Great location close to the beach, but yet in a quiet neighborhood. Ron was very helpful about what to see and with information about the island. Very responsive to our needs and fixed whatever we asked. We loved our week there and will be back."

  • A very good stay

"We went to Galveston on long weekend May 27/2016 and we had a very good stay at El Flamboyan House for 3 nights. The house was very spacious and it can accommodate 10+ people. We met house owner only while getting key and she was very kind. There was no disturbance during our stay and this house is very close to pleasure pier and Stewart beach. I got my refundable deposit within 20days :). I truly recommend this house for big family stay. Thanks, Gowthaman"
