  • The perfect location!

"Away from the craziness of Galveston and just the right distance off the beach. The house is just like the description and photos. Very well maintained property, great location. Having the canal "in the backyard" was wonderful. Great fishing! We will be back."

  • Restfull "Stays" at Dolphin Daze

"Need a break from the bustling city and day to day? Head to Galveston. Galveston is still the sleepy, yet fully appointed up to date seaside town with long miles of clean beaches and plenty of room to spread out. Great food, slow moving pace and sea breezes everywhere. There are a ton of rentals in Galveston and it can be a frustrating experience to get the one that fits all your needs without compromising one thing for another; on beach but no real AC, off beach no view - have to be a Sherpa to get all the gear to the beach daily, no dogs, no kids, nice view but beds that would make the Spanish inquisition proud, Large TV but only one channel, no TV but a beat up scrabble board provided etc etc. Well we have found the perfect combo of a beach house and restful and comfortable home to stay in Galveston. Dolphin Daze is the best combination of them all. Built in the style of a Destin Beach home it is well appointed, comfortable and in a perfect spot for the beach. Located well down the seawall toward San Luis pass it sits about 100 yards from the sea on a very quiet , very clean and wide stretch of the beach. Its nice that it is a bit removed from the clutter of the sea wall in Galveston Proper but it is very easy to get to town and all the great food in a short straight drive that takes about 15 minutes. The house has a great room with open kitchen and tremendous full length windows that brings in the Sunny Days . There are two main rooms each with their own showers and bathrooms and private balcony both with very comfortable beds, full washer and dryer which is a must and then a really neat lookout tower with bunks for the kids on a third level to keep the nose and loud ( hopefully laughter of the kids) at arms length if you need that. All of the house is tiled or wooden floors which makes for a very clean and sharp finish and easy to sweep the sand out. The interior of the house is decorated more like a top notch hotel/resort than a beach house so much that my wife kept running around cleaning it as we went. It is very comfortable with beautiful leather couch and chairs. Nice sized wall mounted TV for those Dads that need their news or sport fix and plenty of satellite channels for the kids. Plenty of board games and beach stuff. GREAT UPSCALE BEACH HOUSE TO STAY. WE HAVE NOW STAYED THERE TWO YEARS IN A ROW and would love to return. Great place to reconnect with families and your soul. Highly Recommended"

  • Dream Come True!!

"Having never rented a beach home before, we weren't quite sure what to expect, but this fabulous home was everything we had dreamed of and more! It was our first family vacation with grandkids - there were a total of 4 families with little ones ages 3 months to 9 - and each family was able to have their own room. We couldn't believe how perfect everything was: from the access to the beach, to the beautiful furnishings, to the kitchen with everything you could possibly need, to the garage stocked with toys and beach accessories! My family loved playing the "Red Necked Golf" game they found in the garage, along with the small swimming pool for the kids to splash in. It was so easy to walk to the beach from the back door, and we were able to even drive our truck on the beach to carry the numerous chairs, toys, and cabana cover. Since we were there over the 4th of July, we could sit on the back porch and see fireworks in all directions. The floor plan worked out perfectly for our family - especially with the large closets that were big enough to put a pack and play in for the babies to sleep! Everything was so roomy! And having a separate laundry room where we could do laundry was a bonus! The owner was so quick to respond to my numerous emails prior to our arrival (we were excited and had lots of questions). The home was extremely clean when we arrived - no complaints whatsoever. We went into town one morning to buy fresh seafood to cook on the grill - but other than that, we didn't even leave! There is a Wal-Mart in town (about 20 minutes away) for anything you need. We will definitely be back!"
