  • Nice 2 bed house in Rockport!

"My family and some friends stayed here recently for a few nights during spring break. The check-in was fast and easy and the house is just a short drive from the Vacation rental company's office. The house is on a corner lot about 2 blocks away from Aransas Bay. The driveway has enough room for four cars easily. The inside of the house was nice and clean, other than my wife finding some hair on the guests bedroom bed on the sheets. She's pretty picky about that stuff, so we took them off and washed and dried them real quick in the washer and dryer that's in the house. The other beds were fine, so maybe the cleaners just missed the guest bed. There are enough beds for six people easily with the pull down bed in the living room. The guest bathroom is downstairs, so you'll have to go up and down the stairs when you use it. The master bedroom has it's own bathroom, so if you're sleeping in it you won't have to worry about that. Both bedrooms are upstairs so you'll have to use the stairs period. The master bedroom does have it's own deck, and it's pretty good sized too. There is a little bit of a view of the bay from up there also. There are decent sized flat panel TV's in each bedroom and the living room as well. The master bedroom is quite a bit bigger than the guest bedroom and has it's own closet for storage. The guest bedroom closet is at the top of the stairs , just outside the doorway. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils and cookware you might need, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. The dining area and living area are nice sized and as I mentioned earlier there is a flat panel tv in the living room and it's probably a 55"-60", so we enjoyed it. There is a deck you can access through the patio doors by the dining table, or you can get to it when you walk up the stairs to the front door. We never used it because it was a bit cool during our stay, but it would be a nice spot to hang out with your friends during warmer weather. The mosquitos were out while we were down there, so bring some repellant, or buy some when you get there. We stay in the Rockport-Port Aransas area every summer, and they are always around, so be prepared for that! They're usually worse in the early morning, late evening hours! There are plenty of restaurants and stores in Rockport, so if you forget something they're not far away. We had a nice stay here with our friends and would stay here again on our next visit to Rockport, TX. Hope this review helps!"

  • AWESOME house and location

"Our family is originally from Texas, and has been vacationing in Rockport for years. We have come to know Key Allegro quite well. We have stayed in hotels, B&B's, condos, and house rentals. This is by far the best place we have stayed. It is located right on Little Bay, whereas many of the homes and rentals are back on canals. This means you have direct access to Little Bay for swimming, boating, and have the most spectacular view and sunsets. Many of the other places we have stayed on the island we felt a little removed from the action, because we would need to kayak or boat to get out to the Bay. It was amazing how many dolphins swam by each day. There is so much outdoor area to spend time in. There is a charming courtyard when you first arrive, a large covered veranda with an outdoor dining area , couches, and swing, and a big dock with chaise lounges. Many of our family members really love to fish, which was great, because they could do so without even leaving the house. While we were there, we caught several Sheepshead, a flounder, redfish and trout. The house is very bright, airy, and open. Sliding glass doors make up the whole side of the house facing the water, allowing for great views throughout. The bedrooms were all very cozy and clean, and all the beds had down comforters (which in our family is a must!) There is a big great room with a wet bar which is perfect for our whole family to hang out in. The house is all one level, with very few steps to navigate, which was very helpful for my father. We can't say enough about this house and will certainly be staying again!"
