  • Great family property in Rockport

"This was a great property for our family vacation but would also be excellent for multiple adult couples as the rooms are very large and all have king beds with individual bathrooms. The home is gorgeous and the listing accurately describes the property. The home is setup for entertaining both inside and down on the pool deck. Everything worked great for our needs. Wife enjoyed the 'extras' including make up wipes in the bathrooms, use of the kayaks and bicycles. The downstairs fridge was convenient for storing drinks and food for grilling and hanging out by the pool. All the appliances, pots and pans were brand new. Furnishings were beautiful including the coral and turquoise decorations. The bedding is very comfortable. Thank you for sharing your bay home with us. We will be back."

  • AWESOME house and location

"Our family is originally from Texas, and has been vacationing in Rockport for years. We have come to know Key Allegro quite well. We have stayed in hotels, B&B's, condos, and house rentals. This is by far the best place we have stayed. It is located right on Little Bay, whereas many of the homes and rentals are back on canals. This means you have direct access to Little Bay for swimming, boating, and have the most spectacular view and sunsets. Many of the other places we have stayed on the island we felt a little removed from the action, because we would need to kayak or boat to get out to the Bay. It was amazing how many dolphins swam by each day. There is so much outdoor area to spend time in. There is a charming courtyard when you first arrive, a large covered veranda with an outdoor dining area , couches, and swing, and a big dock with chaise lounges. Many of our family members really love to fish, which was great, because they could do so without even leaving the house. While we were there, we caught several Sheepshead, a flounder, redfish and trout. The house is very bright, airy, and open. Sliding glass doors make up the whole side of the house facing the water, allowing for great views throughout. The bedrooms were all very cozy and clean, and all the beds had down comforters (which in our family is a must!) There is a big great room with a wet bar which is perfect for our whole family to hang out in. The house is all one level, with very few steps to navigate, which was very helpful for my father. We can't say enough about this house and will certainly be staying again!"

  • The Only Place To Stay In Rockport

"We always stay at Candlelight when in Rockport. After staying in every hotel there, we found the cottages to be immaculate, well appointed and management will go the extra mile to make every guests comfortable. It is always very quiet and the beach is just across the street, so that is very convenient. They have an observation deck that we thoroughly enjoy as well. All in all, this is truly a gem in Rockport, and I would never stay any place else. Room Tip: We have stayed in all the cottages. They are all really nice, well appointed and the main thing...they are super clean and comfortable! There are no extra fees on VRBO which is also such a plus!"
