  • Clean! Great stay, we'd go back

"I stayed two nights with my 2 teenage kids and we had a very pleasant stay. This 2 bedroom condo was very clean and tastefully updated and decorated. The kitchen is fully furnished and the fridge had plenty of stuff that would be needed to cook, as well as a few drinks. It has a lovely back porch overlooking a boat slip that we enjoyed very much. The kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and we caught a few fish (threw them all back). It's very close to the Rockport beach and pier, and a number of different restaurants. We had a pleasant weekend and if we head down to Rockport this summer, we'll put this one at the top of our list. Two small requests, please make sure wifi is working next time. I was happy to unplug, but for a longer stay, we would have wanted that working. Also, a grill will be needed for a longer stay."

  • Shrimp Boats, kayaks, sunrises -View from My Room

"The resort was clean, quiet, and I loved room 104, The Texas room. Two queen sized beds and a couch. Very comfortable and great Texas decor. Good view of the gulf and enjoyed coffee on the patio watching sunrises. Then walked the gulf road before visiting Rockport Donuts. The pool was great for exercising, although not heated, did some sunbathing and looked forward to ending the day in the hot tub. There is a shell beach and fishing off the pier. A relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back. Some good art downtown and charming shops and marina. Bring your binoculars to enjoy the view of the traffic on the intercoastal waterway."

  • Comfortable, quiet retreat

"On arrival, the house was easy to find. Everything was ready for us and we didn't have to search for much. The queen beds were really nice, comfortable, and (most importantly) clean. The kitchen was in a central location though seemed a bit small at times. The living room and large screen TV came in handy when the weather turned rough and all the kids had to stay indoors. Having to walk thru the bunk room to get to the back bedroom was a bit 'wonky', but we made the most of it. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of towels. We grilled every night which made our social time nice. The pier was great. The surface planks were new and safe (for the kids). The main light at the end of the pier attracted a lot of fish (though I wish there were a 2nd light on the other side). We made use of the kayaks - which were easy to launch and recover. ... I can't give the property a 5th star because there were some things that didn't work well. It was a bit difficult to figure out how to use the outlets on the pier. The yard has ants and we bought some ant dust which cleared the problem. Half of the grill area wouldn't stay up so I couldn't cook on it. The only tub was not in the main house which made bathing the young children difficult. ... But all in all, it was a great weekend where friends could gather and talk and socialize while the kids could run around. We would definitely consider returning to this property in the future. Hope this review helps."
