  • Awesome View of Bay & Clean Home

"The house is cozy and surprisingly spacious in the living room. I love the layout of the house. It is small but because the bedrooms are all in the back, completely divided by the living room, the living room is so open and walkable. The French doors open up to the bay and the view is so nice! The bathrooms had nice towels that were newer than most rentals I've been to. They also color cordinate the towels with the décor in the house. The towels were a good amount (hand/bath). They were not tattered or old like other places. That is my pet peeve. I dont' understand how you can provide old torn towels to renters? The last place I was at was unbelievable. The back patio is just the right size with plenty of lawn chairs. We were a group of 6 and we did not feel stuffy at all. The lighted pier is nice and we caught a handful of fish out there. There is also a crab trap! It looks relatively new so that is also generous of the owners to have that there. We caught some big blue sturdy meaty crabs. The second day my husband put fish heads in with the chicken and uh .. I was told that the crabs get confused with the smell and don't want it. Darn! I would of had a bunch more crab. SO, take out the fish head when you are there. lol . We also bought our kayaks and were able to put the in the water and go out on the bay. We did catch a few red drum which was nice but not too big. It is a very relaxing ride because there are no passing boats! Love that. The house is clean and everything you need is there. The owners are very generous with sharing the household items such as paper towel roll, toilet paper, plastic utensil (a whole bag), foil, plastic wrap, house cleaners, etc, and a LOT of trash bags (not just 2 like other rental houses), and even body wash !! It was amazing. 3 whole new bottles and in each bathroom a bottle! I don't think the previous renters left that. I wouldn't. Ha ha. Even dishwashing detergent and hand soap were abundant ! I have never been in a house that has so much for the renters. I really did enjoy this house more than other rentals in the area. Diane was a delight to work with. She was quick to respond to email or calls. Everything went smoothly. I highly recommend the house. I have great pictures but don't see a place to add that on this review. I will look and see if there is after I hit submit."

  • Nicely furnished, clean, and comfortable house. Close to the beach

"We stayed at The Little House of Blues for a little longer than a week. Our son was attending the nearby Summer camp at Rockport. House is nice, fully furnished, A/C keeps comfortable cool temperature even in hottest days. Kitchen has everything you need if you feel like cooking. Nice stay for a family. Pet friendly. Thank you Bob! We will be back"

  • Fantastic Reunion Location

"My cousins and I spent five wonderful reunion days at this beautiful home on the bay. Because of the size there was no doubling up in bedrooms. Best of all, the fully equipped kitchens. We are a family who likes to cook, and for once we were not buying the equipment to do so. There is lots to keep you busy - kayaking, boating, fishing from dock, jacuzzi and community pool. The owners provided me with lots of info ahead of time, including places to go in the area which was very helpful. Best of all relaxing on the balcony watching the world drift by! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us."

  • Lots of Space to Spread Out

"We really enjoyed our recent weekend at this property. We had two families -- 4 adults and 5 kids ages 4-17. The master bedroom is on the main floor, but all other bedrooms are on the bottom floor, so those of us with younger kids ended up sleeping on the bottom floor to avoid kids needing to climb the dark stairs in the middle of the night. There were plenty of beds to go around, with different amounts of privacy as desired. The younger kids are highly distractible but between the excitement of the trip, the outside play, and the great sound proofing of the house, they were not kept up while older kids were still awake despite being in the one room without a solid door. We took advantage of most every amenity this house had. Great fishing two mornings in a row, a grille to make hamburgers, an outside picnic table and inside dining table, a foosball table in the game room, two bathrooms (though we did miss there was no way to plug the drain and take a bath in the tub upstairs), a wide range of TV channels, and free wifi to play Quiplash together on our devices. Lest you think we snuggled up together in the house, we also went swimming at nearby beaches twice and drove the hour away to Corpus Christi to catch some waves, try catching sharks, and shop. My only recommendation is to bring a bag of ice in with you as you come. There's plenty of place to store it in the freezer."
