  • Great & Convenient place to stay in South Padre Island

"Even though it was a short stay we loved the condo. My grand kids and us were very comfortable and loved the view. The beach was a very short distance from the condo and felt very safe as it was only people that belong in the area. Thank you, we will consider this place on our next vacation."

  • Excellent Place to Stay

"The Sapphire is a great vacation resort and Unit 802 is perfect for a smaller family. Our gang of 4 stayed there and we had plenty of room to stretch out. The unit had everything we needed. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. The master bath suite is huge with plenty of closet space to store everything you bring. The furniture is all high-quality and comfortable for lounging when you need to recover from the heat and sun. They even have a collection of beach toys and chairs for use. We cooked almost all of our meals which helped save money and hassle. The patio has a great view of the pool and gulf; it is in the shade from noon on and we spent a lot of time out there. The amenities at the Sapphire are top-notch. The pool is so big that we never felt crowded and there is plenty of furniture for lounging. They have private access to the beach with a hose and a shower for rinsing off when you come back. The exercise room is large and well-equipped with machine weights, free weights, and cardio machines. We didn't use the teen room or theater but they looked fun. The property has a 3 story parking garage which is nice to keep your car out of the heat. The location is perfect; it is easy to get on and off the island from there. You are one block from Schlitterbahn and easy access to the best restaurants and fun on SPI. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the leasing agent, Coastal Lifestyles, was great to work with. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We highly recommend this rental!"

  • great weekend

"Very nice unit within an acceptable complex. This unit was on fifth floor which is top level. Great view of the ocean and beach and pool below. Balcony is very pleasant to sit upon but not really wide enough for Alfresco dining. Finishes of this unit are quite high level, nice ceramic floors, good quality furniture, modern flat screen TVs. Appliances and Wi-Fi all modern and work well. Ice cube trays were put away underneath counter so there was no ice available for the first day. There is no ice bucket so we had to make do with a tupperware pot. Pool and hot tub are pretty good, no problems, but show a little wear and their age. Condo complex is ok, but no big deal. Very good beach access. Also volleyball net in the sand (bring your own vball). The condo complex only permits 1 parking space per unit. This was sort of a problem, as we had a 3 bedroom condo with 8 people. 1 car space is not reasonable, other cars need to park on the street. The owner Janet replied quickly to emails. Rental management is locally performed by Service 24, I saw some bad reviews about them, but we had no problems. They are tight on toilet paper, paper towels, dishwash soap, etc. Bring everything yourself. Beach chairs and sand toys in the closet are a nice touch."

  • Great Location!

"We really enjoyed our stay here - the location is excellent! It is close in to town so walking distance to Gravity park, Louie's backyard and Wingstop, etc. You can see the Thursday/Friday fireworks from the driveway, they set them off straight across the street. I really liked the spacious patio off the master bedroom, enjoyed coffee out there in the morning while my teenagers slept. :) It is quite close to the beach, we were able to walk easily. Be forewarned however, there are are no large condos shading the beach access, so the sand there gets extremely hot. Like burning coals, nuclear hot. We burned our feet trying to make it in flip flops, so closed shoes are a must! The only complaint I would have would be no 12" skillet, but we made do, and the common pool area could use a good cleaning, a little trash up under the bushes and full ashcan. But really this was a great place, condo was nice and clean and overall a great value. Would stay here again definately."
