  • Found It!

"If you want to enjoy all that Austin offers, from the very heart of things, there's no better than Lyle's place on Lake Austin. We brought the boat, parked it safely and conveniently next to the house and feet from the Walsh Landing put in; had a day on Lake Austin catching fish and swimming, another boating on Lake Travis (only a 30 min. drive) and nights on the town with some great music. Very clean and comfortable house with a great host and close to everything that's going on. Loved it!"

  • Great and Hospitable

"I really enjoyed our stay here. The place was very clean and spacious. Very close to downtown with easy access to bus and the freeway. Our hosts were very responsive and when we met briefly were very nice. I would highly recommend."

  • Luxury Base For Austin and Hill Country Excursions

"How nice it was to return each day to the wonderful Lakeway Mountain Cottage for seven nights in June. The cottage and our trip was perfect in every way thanks in large part to the thoughtfulness of Todd and Laura. The cottage was ideally located for our excursions to Austin, as well as our outings to the Texas Hill Country, visiting: the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center; Johnson City and the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, including the boyhood home of LBJ and the LBJ Ranch; Fredericksburg and the National Museum of the Pacific War; and Wimberley. The cottage was our “home away from home” where we could rest and relax at the end of the day and enjoy dinner in the serenity and beauty of the cottage watching the sunsets ¬- if we were not eating at one of the many nearby restaurants in Lakeway or on the shores of the now-full Lake Travis. Anyone seeking a luxury location as a base for visits to Austin and the Texas Hill Country at any time of the year could do no better than the Lakeway Mountain Cottage."
