  • better than any hotel

"Plum Door was clean chic and charming! The location cannot be any better. Travis Heights is a residential area but a very short walk from South Congress which boasts best restaurants and shops. I loved Plum Door and would love to stay there again next time I visit Austin."

  • Adorable.

"This place was absolutely perfect for my Thanksgiving visit to my daughter & son-in-law! They live in a small apartment, and while they move all their furniture around to host us for dinner, there's no room at the inn for extra guests, so this was absolutely perfect for myself, my son & his girlfriend. Had everything that we needed, was just the right size, and the neighbors were friendly to us as well. Great in-town "live like a local" while on vacation place with a full kitchen and bath, two private bedrooms, and a large common area where we all watched football, played cards, ate Chineese take-out and visited over Thanksgiving weekend."

  • Great old house in quite neighborhood.

"First, Lisa was a very accommodating and attentive host and I thank her for that. This is a wonderful roomy old house with a modern kitchen and central A/C. I loved the cedar closets, real wood floors that creak, and large bedrooms. Early risers can see a great sunrise outback on the deck. The window in the small room off the living-room is great to open and get a cool breeze blowing through the house. Just remember this is an old house and things do go bump in the night; especially during high winds as we found out. We kept hearing a banging sound during the night and discovered the window sashes were loose on the bedroom windows. One was not locked securely and the other was remedied by inserting a small piece of cardboard between the sash and the frame. Enjoyed!!"
