  • Beautiful Cottage and Quiet Setting

"We decided to stay in Fredericksburg as a hub for our day trips. This cottage caught our interest since it was walking distance to downtown and the reviews were good. Pat assured us that the pictures don't do this place justice. And was he ever right. This house is beautiful. The decor and Carlotta's art are fantastic and the bed is very comfortable. This is the kind of place we were hoping to find. We really enjoyed the back porch and creek. A couple of evenings we just sat on the porch, listened to music, and sipped wine. It's a serene setting. Pat and Carlotta have done a wonderful job with this place. We'll be back."

  • Luxury Base For Austin and Hill Country Excursions

"How nice it was to return each day to the wonderful Lakeway Mountain Cottage for seven nights in June. The cottage and our trip was perfect in every way thanks in large part to the thoughtfulness of Todd and Laura. The cottage was ideally located for our excursions to Austin, as well as our outings to the Texas Hill Country, visiting: the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center; Johnson City and the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, including the boyhood home of LBJ and the LBJ Ranch; Fredericksburg and the National Museum of the Pacific War; and Wimberley. The cottage was our “home away from home” where we could rest and relax at the end of the day and enjoy dinner in the serenity and beauty of the cottage watching the sunsets ¬- if we were not eating at one of the many nearby restaurants in Lakeway or on the shores of the now-full Lake Travis. Anyone seeking a luxury location as a base for visits to Austin and the Texas Hill Country at any time of the year could do no better than the Lakeway Mountain Cottage."

  • Excellent Location!

"My family and I went to a wedding in Austin & the bride told us to search in VRBO because it would be more affordable & more comfortable place as opposed to a hotel. I'm glad I did. I had never heard of VRBO. This was a cute condo, very clean & spacious. Love that I was able to bring my furbaby Toby. He loved the little backyard & he enjoyed all the squirrels that would be scurrying around there. . This is a great location. There are some restaurants & food trucks within walking distance. Congress street is close by & my puppy & i went to a nearby small trail & the following day we went to the trail under the Bat Bridge which was only 5 min walking distance. The only thing was kind of scary was the entrance to the parking lot because it was sort of steep & you could see where a few cars had hit the bottom of their cars. Anyway, we were careful driving in & out, though. It also had a dvr to play movies, & there were books & game boards to play but we were busy with wedding stuff & sightseeing, we didn't have time to use them but it's a great touch. Also there is coffee available for you to make. All in all, it's a great cozy place. I have already recommended this site to a few people. We enjoyed our stay at this property. Thanks Dominique. :)"
