  • Great Location!

"We stayed here for a wine weekend. It's a great location that puts you 20 minutes from everything. Nice HEB (grocery) and convenience shopping in Marble Falls 20 minutes away. Very quiet at night and dark - lots of stars can be seen. It is off an unpaved road in such bad shape you need at least a mini SUV to get down it. The house is a nicely decorated/furnished manufactured home with a big kitchen that has everything you would need to cook or reheat left overs. It also includes everything needed for enjoying your choice of libation; glasses, shot glasses, bottle openers, wine openers, etc."

  • Heavenly time at this Hill Country Haven

"My husband and I had such a wonderful weekend at this lake home on LBJ. From the time we pulled off the highway, we were greeted by families of deer roaming the peaceful, secluded neighborhood and beautiful 9-hole golf course. The home was warm, comfortable and accommodating with a well-equipped kitchen, allowing my husband and I to stay the weekend on the property, making our own meals and enjoying the gorgeous views from the large deck that overlooked the water and spectacular sunsets. Everything we needed was provided from the outdoor grille, to all the kitchen utensils, to the gourmet coffee maker, to the bucket of sunscreen products by the back door. The king size bed was luxurious with fresh new sheets and the entire home was sunny, clean and well-maintained. Kurt was easily available by phone to answer any questions we had. When we weren't enjoying our meals and views from the deck, we were sitting in the wrought-iron glider on the dock with a glass of wine, or best ever, cooking s'mores over the great fire-pit down by the lake. We were also able to take great hikes around the neighborhood, gawking at the deer who gawked back at us, but left us to roam our merry way. A short trip to Enchanted Rock for a great hike, and quick foray into Marble Falls for one of the Bluebonnet Cafe's heavenly pies (so as to prolong our Hill Country experience at home) completed our mini-vacation. For a refuge and retreat from the bustle of the city, I highly recommend this wonderful lake house and gorgeous surrounds."

  • More than a 5 star!

"We've stayed at many VRBO homes. They've all been good, but this one stands out! Liz is a great host. Several months before our stay I asked her about dog day care. She sent a message out on neighborhood web site and sent me back a list of day care and pet sitters/walkers. She was a joy to deal with. The house was a great lake house. We were in a nice quiet neighborhood with lots of trees, birds and deer. We spent hours sitting on the large deck enjoying the back yard and lake. There was a fenced back yard, so no worries about our little dog. There's one bedroom downstairs. Two bedrooms upstairs along with 4 extra twin beds in bonus room. Plenty of room for a group with kids. The house is ready for your group, too. Lots of extra outdoor chairs, all sizes of life jackets, even a toy chest upstairs. Nice washer/dryer. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes and utensils. There were some spices. Some houses we've stayed in have had so much in cabinets and refrigerator that we hardly had room for our things. This was just right. We were there for 5 weeks and it was tough to leave. We'll be back!"
