  • Wonderful place and very peaceful location!

"My husband and I stayed for a few days prior to Thanksgiving to reconnect and spend some quality time together away from work and kids. It was awesome - a great place to just hang out but also a good jumping off point to go to Garner State Park and Lost Maples. The cabin was comfortable and we were able to relax and kick back. We will defintely keep this on our list of places to visit again."

  • Beautiful and breath taking.

"It was everything we expected. Loved the peacefulness and the solitude from the fast past city life. The cabin was great and very homie. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen meet our needs. The only thing that I saw that might need some attention was two of the burners on the stove would not work and we did encounter some roaches and some cobwebs that were at the top of the ceiling. But everything else was perfect, the backyard was awesome to just sit out there and enjoy the nature. Loved building bond fires and using the bbq pit. Thank you so much for making our 1st experience in the hill country very memorable and enjoyable. Richard Alaniz"

  • A great place to stay!

"The property is an excellent choice for a get away. It is very spacious with some of the best waterfront & wildlife views around, from the hummingbirds to the deer. The owners are very nice & knowledgeable about the area as well. Even though its a lil retro, its just an all around great choice!"

  • So quite, so peaceful

"My husband and I and dog Zaine enjoyed this place very much. We passed it up once before we found it, I don't suggest hunting for this place at night! I loved the outdoor shower but one of the doors was broken which my husband put back in place. Fixed it just enough so we could use it. The scenery on the drive to the cabin is very beautiful, but it's zig-zaggy and you must go very slow, especially in some spots. The first day we just stayed on the property. It is so peaceful and quite and the stars are oh so bright at night. There is no outside lighting and it is pitch black at night, so if you think you might want to sit at the picnic table at night take a lantern or something. There was a burn ban when we went which I was disappointed about because I love a good fire. But nothing anyone can do about that. We went to Garner State Park a short distance away, SO beautiful! There are only two restaurants open in Leakey, I personally suggest you cook at the cabin. We were going to do more sight seeing our last full day there, but they were putting down a new road surface, and because of the extreme hills they had to shut down the road. So on our last day there we were just stuck and could not go anywhere. BUT if you gotta be stuck, what a great place to be stuck!"
