  • Great location, very comfortable, great Wifi, wonderful host

"My wife and another couple stayed in the condo to see Austin together, and we loved it. Our host provided all the information anyone would need to enjoy their stay, and she was quite considerate when I needed some extra supplies because I was recovered from a cold. This was the first vacation our party had taken as a foursome since before we had kids, and this was a perfect basecamp. Threee of us walked along a lake on a beautiful day. Great foods included a pork taco at a nearby hole-in-the-wall Mexican place, a brisket and egg breakfast tacos a short walk from the condo, French contemporary at Justine’s , German lunches (in Fredericksberg and in downtown near the Capitol), and great restaurants on Lamar. We loved walking on South Congress. We tasted wines at a tasting room outside Fredericksburg. We took a tour of the Capitol. Wifi was strong, which was much appreciated due to work demands. I took a dip in the pool. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Austin."

  • Tripoint Flat was wonderful - we would definitely stay there again!

"We really enjoyed our stay. The photos and amenities listed are very accurate. The 3 bedrooms were roomy and very comfortable. The house was clean and tidy and well maintained. We loved spending time in the back yard on the deck and using the hot tub - especially at night, as there are wonderful lights that make the space feel magical! The house is near the freeway, which is very convenient and accessible. The highway noise was noticeable in the back yard, but it did not detract at all from our enjoyment of using the space, as we spent a good amount of time enjoying the table/chairs and lush plants/flowers/trees. Inside the house it was quiet and the highway noise was not apparent. The artwork and furnishings in the house were great - tasteful, comfortable, and original. The fresh pumpkin bread, Keurig with coffee, and other things that were provided in the home by the owners made us feel very welcome - more like friends than strangers! They were available for questions or issues, but nothing came up. We were less than 10 minutes from the Alamo & Riverwalk, Quarry shops, airport, and many restaurants. I would highly recommend this home, and will stay here again if I return to San Antonio!"

  • Great Thanksgiving Rental Home.

"Disclaimer: I did not stay in the house - I rented it for my parents and aunt to stay in over Thanksgiving. My boyfriend's folks live in the same neighborhood as this rental home -- please be aware that this neighborhood is about 30 minutes from downtown Austin and is 100% residential. There are no street lights and some of the house numbers / street names are really difficult to read when traveling/driving at night. My folks got lost two or three times the first day or two, but then found their way around pretty easily. Again, it was perfect for us, location wise, because most of the get-togethers were at my bf's parents' place, which was less than a mile away. The house: from what I could tell, it was really well stocked. Condiments in the fridge and shampoo/conditioner items in the bathrooms. Mark, the owner, also left us some fresh, homemade banana bread for the arrival and my folks raved about it. I'm pretty sure it was gone in 24 hours. The house is pretty much out of the nineties / early 2000s and you can tell it's primarily a rental home. There's a funky half bath with mirrors on the ceiling and the toaster plays disney music when the toast is finished (which is hilarious...but when you're trying to be quiet in the morning, it's a little difficult). The layout is also a bit funky, but it works for people who are related. The master bedroom is a loft and overlooks the living area. There's a good private bedroom with a queen bed and a little bathroom off of it. Then the third bedroom had two twins and I suppose that bedroom can either share the bathroom in the master loft (which requires walking through the loft to get to) or the little bathroom down a small flight of stairs, which would be shared with the other private bedroom. Again, funky. But it works. It would be tough, I think, for multiple people who are not related or close. The lake: is awesome. We were there in the winter, but the lake is one of the best waterskiing / wakeboarding lakes around Austin. (PS. It's not a real lake, but Austin decided to dam up parts of the Colorado river to make "lakes" and calls them all such, even though it's technically a river). ANYWAYS, the lake is sweet. I can see how the house would be awesome in the summer time for those with boats. There's also a nice little deck area on top of the boat dock so you can really get on top of the water. Will definitely keep in mind for future family get-togethers."
