  • A Little Slice of Heaven

"Wow! This cottage is a little slice of heaven. It is beautifully appointed. The photos provided are beautiful, and the reality is so much more! The owner has gone to great care to create a true retreat on the lake. The interior displays some unique antiques. The kitchen is well stocked and was quite easy to cook a few meals in. The beds were very comfortable. Seating is ample -- there's a sunporch with a great reading chair. The owner was wonderful. He was easy to make contact with and very responsive on the one or two qustions we had. I would absolutely recommend this property. We plan on returning!"

  • Amazing family minded retreat !

"Thank y'all for offering your amazing lake front house for a rental. It was truly the perfect weekend. The kids loved the fishing and kayaks as well as the fire pit for smores! The view of the lake from the kitchens wall to wall windows was great way to wake up. We will definitely try to reserve this house for a sumer time vacation!"

  • Cozy home, right on the lake, with a large deck to relax and view the sunsets!

"My family and friends spent the weekend here. We were lucky to get it since we booked at the very last minute, but the owners were so nice and accommodating. The home was fully furnished, clean & homey, and easily fit the eight of us. It definitely felt like a home away from home. The place backs right on to Lake Livingston, with a dock area for boating, fishing and wading. The best feature is easily the massive deck. It overlooks the lake, and is the best place to see the sunset and view the stars at night. From there, you can relax while watching the rest of your family frolic in the lake or play football in the large backyard. It was probably not meant for this, but the little ones loved kicking around the soccer ball on the deck. There was enough room for them to play, and since the deck is enclosed, the parents didn't have to worry about the kids or the ball falling into the lake. We did have to call a timeout though when using the outdoor grill for BBQ and the chimenea for toasting marshmallows. Good thing they were easily bribed by smores! The house itself is spacious, fully-stocked, and has lots of beds available. We made use of their indoor/outdoor centralized surround sound the entire weekend, thanks to our iPhone and Pandora! The place has three bedrooms, but the best is the room where all the kids slept in. It has two bunk beds, and it's own flat-screen TV to watch DVDs on. After dinner, we just threw all the kids in that room and closed the door. The kids watched a movie before sleeping, while us adults enjoyed wine and card games. We had a great weekend here and would definitely go back again."
