  • Beyond Compare

"It takes a special kind of person - persons - to plan and create an exquisite dwelling place and to then 'loan' that place to others. What a magical way of thinking! There was not one thing - not one - that we wanted that wasn't provided. And the pictures on the Backwoods website do not do it justice. Debbie and Marsha, thank y'all so much for your generosity! We are so lucky to have found this charming and elegant getaway.....I'm already planning a return trip w/my sisters-in-law!"

  • Quiet, Clean, Close!

"This cute little house is tucked away in a nice quiet community. The beds are the most comfortable mattresses that I have ever slept on! Supportive, but with a soft pillow top! It is close to anything in Grapevine. The hot tub is private and clean, though the lights in it were not working (no big deal). The new propane glass rock fire feature and patio TV made relaxing in the hot tub after a long day just wonderful. Mosquitoes were a little bad. Maybe the owner could treat the back yard for them every other week. Citronella candles helped. The couch in the den is comfortable. Storage ottomans in the den vs. a coffee table. The kitchen is small but well equipped. Kitchen was stocked with coffee and teas, sweeteners, salt, pepper, spices, and basics. Fridge is nice and newer model (not the one in the picture) with great, clean ice maker. The 1 bathroom is small, but updated nicely. Please note there is no inside tub, but rather a nice walk in shower. There is a closet with a washer and dryer with detergent and softener for use. Wifi was fast and easy to connect. Satellite TV with tons of channels, but none of the typical movie providers (no HBO, etc.). Keyless door and gate locks made coming and going carefree. You enter via a side drive and motorized gate, and park behind the house in the gravel. Main St offers many shops and places to eat. Great burger at Jakes!"

  • Beautiful lake house you'll never want to leave!

"My boyfriend, puppy and I rented the lake house to get away from the city for a few days and it was perfect! Robin was very sweet and helpful! The house is just beautiful! Be ready to go on a vacation that you won't want to leave!! We will definitely be going back sometime. It was an overall awesome trip and we had no complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend this property!"

  • Fun Fun Fun

"Thank you for sharing your fun lake cabin. What a beautiful spot! The nice shade trees kept the backyard very cool on a hot day. The big deck, fire pit area & expansive lawn was perfect to play games and spend all of our time outside. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock & watching fireworks/stargazing from the top deck of the dock. The neighbors were all very nice. The boat launch is very close/convenient. We had fun swimming/ floating around the dock & volleyball court area. The kids were glad the waterfront was a soft dirt bottom without any brush/weeds. The cabin was perfect, well appointed and very clean. We look forward to coming back again soon. Thank you!"
