  • Great stay!

"Jerry and Jeri were both great! So helpful and hospitable. Our family enjoyed our time at the lake house. So close to anything in town yet felt like we had some privacy being right on the lake. Thank you!!"

  • Very homey!

"We had a wonderful stay here. I really enjoyed the rustic home and area. The owners went out of their way to ensure if we needed anything they would help us out. The views were incredible and town was close enough for anything you need."

  • Rejuvenating Getaway - Close to everything but tucked away (almost) out of sight

"Neither the photos nor the descriptions do it justice. A first look at the outside of this property from the street left me underwhelmed, however, when I opened the door my eyes popped. Wow! Chic and cozy are a start. How about sparkling and welcoming? The unit/cottage, especially the kitchen, is very well equipped (Tip: before buying ANYTHING, rummage around first!) What passes for a living room/TV area (pix with sofa) is tiny, probably because visitors want to spend their time outside. The entire wall facing the lake is windows, giving an excellent view of the lake. Covered patio is private and chill. There is a road and some ongoing development visible across the lake but it is far enough away not to be a real nuisance. The property is within a few minutes drive of the booming city of Frisco, close to everything but still removed. You can easily miss the turnoff from the main road but when you find it you drive past a school and some (soon to be) new houses, take a sharp right and bam, you are on the peninsula or in the "village". It stands in marked contrast to the rows of expensive new "MiniMcMansions" jammed together, penned into subdivisions on the drive in. Some visitors may not initially care for the appearance of a few of the properties on the peninsula as they drive in (the properties are mostly older summer homes - whadda ya want?) but part of its charm is the relaxed, casual and non-judgemental atmosphere. It has its own vibe which you need to experience to appreciate. It's hard to explain. All of the people I met were nice. The owners (Jerry & Jerri) are a major part of the welcoming atmosphere and a delight to interact with. Dogs and children will have a great time here. The lake charts show stump hazards in the water farther out the cove so they don't see a lot of fast, noisy water traffic. BOTTOM LINE: It depends on what you are looking for. If you want a cookie-cutter type of resort staffed by a bunch of minimum wage workers with no real stake in your vacation experience then look elsewhere. If you are interested in slowing down, putting your feet up, and chilling (or boating, fishing, etc.) then you may want to consider becoming a guest of Jerry and Jerri. Thank you J&J for your hospitality and kindness. I hope we meet again soon."

  • Great Place/Great Location

"This was the perfect place for our wedding weekend for my daughter. The venue was 6 minutes away in Aubrey so no one was rushing or fighting traffic. The house was very homey. There was a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived. There was enough space for the 12 of us. The property is very relaxing. This was a well stocked home. Great stay."
