  • Cute, Clean & Comfortable

"This guest house is the perfect place to stay in San Marcos. It is walking distance to the town square, campus, Sewell Park and Bobcat Stadium. The guest house was extremely clean, bathroom felt new and updated and all furniture was new and comfortable. The separate living room space from the bedroom was nice to have as well. The best part is being just a few yards away from Palmers, the best restaurant in town. The stay came with a $30 gift card to the restaurant which we used for a wonderful Saturday brunch. The experience was much better than any hotel in town, we will definitely be back!"

  • Peaceful Setting

"This was the perfect setting for a quick trip to San Marcos to attend the Texas State football game. Pam & Danny were very accommodating with length of stay and arrival time. I really appreciated their flexibility. The cabin was cozy and the perfect size for my husband, son and I. Because we are huge football fanatics my husband and son would have enjoyed a TV to watch college football, but I myself enjoyed the fact that the cabin did not have a TV. I thought the Murphy bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, our trip was very short so we did not spend much time at the cabin. We were able to cook breakfast the morning of our departure. The kitchen seemed to meet all the needs of the husband. I heard no complaints and HEB is conveniently located in San Marcos so it was easy to pick up breakfast items. Had we stayed longer, we would have enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy the natural setting of the cabin, but our schedule did not permit it. Thank you Pam & Danny for your hospitality and for sharing your lovely cabin with us! We enjoyed it!!"

  • Serene, Clean, Beautiful Modern Villa

"Sharon greeted us yesterday and gave us a little history about the place and her family's ranch. The house was very well decorated and we loved the modern/industrial style - much different than what we are accustomed to. The appliances were all brand new and I loved cooking my husband dinner on the gas stove/convection oven. There were lovely black and white framed photos on the walls - Sharon had told us that they were actually her ancestral pictures. The landscape was gorgeous and the pictures really don't do it justice. My husband and I were celebrating his birthday with a little weekend getaway to the Hill Country. We had a roadrunner and little rabbit pay us a visit as we sat on the patio last night. The neighboring cows were behind the silo and were quite camera shy - they ran off when I pulled out my camera, but I still managed to get a couple of pictures. Thank you again Sharon for allowing us to stay just one night on a weekend - we needed this little getaway."

  • Couldn't have been better!

"If you like room to roam outside, viewing the most beautiful sunsets from a porch, room for kids to run in the yard and pick pecans, tucked away but in close proximity to all campus activities, a cozy comfortable cottage, an eclectic hat photo opportunity, with amazing hospitality to boot~~ then this is the place!!! We were 2 families coming to visit our children at Texas State and none of us wanted to leave at the end of our trip! We will certainly return! Pam is the best!!! The Sammons and Tharp Families"
