  • Fantastic experience!

"This was the second time I visited this cabin with a few friends and it was even better this time around. The owners are so caring and thoughtful and they make the experience even better. If you're looking for a weekend getaway I highly recommend this place."

  • IDEAL for hosting out of town wedding!

"Our son's wedding weekend was a big success thanks to our host Cathy. Since everyone was from out of town, the wedding party was able to stay together at this spacious, clean and comfortable home. We hosted the rehearsal dinner here also and it was the perfect set up for serving people and visiting. Cathy offered everything from the extra refrigerator space to the oversized salad bowl. The home is in a lovely, peaceful, country setting, less than 15 minutes from the wedding venue, Red Ridge Receptions, and even closer to Main St. Smithville. Our group enjoyed the pool table, the screened in porches, and the fire pit. There were plenty of beds and room to spread out. The bride and her bridal party benefitted from the oversized master bath and closet space, especially while having their hair and make up done. The owners went out of their way to assist us and lend a helping hand."

  • Lovely Country Family Retreat

"My daughter, two granddaughters and I spent a perfect long weekend at Trails End Ranch. We were looking for a country get away to escape the concrete and traffic of the city, and that is exactly what we got. The home is so comfortable and they have thought of everything. Mr. Brian Desaulnier and his wife met us upon arrival and oriented us to the home and the property, including the stock pond, and just could not have been nicer or more accommodating. There is a beautiful large fire pit in the yard and conditions permitting, Mr. Desaulnier set it up and started it for us. We have stayed in quite a few home away locations and I have to say the kitchen at this home was the best equipped we have ever had. It was a joy to cook in. They have also thought of providing plenty of games in doors and out to keep folks entertained. The beds were all comfortable with wonderful linens. My favorite part may have been the beautiful porches on the front and back of the home (besides the courteous Mr. Desaulnier) My only hesitation in writing this glowing review is that when we want to go back it may be booked. This place is a gem!"

  • Just what the family ordered

"This will be our 8th family reunion. The first at Reflection Lodge. With grown children coming from all over the United States and bringing their own children with them... it is unbelievably important to me that the home is as carefree and comfortable as possible. The kitchen is amazing and fit all of the women comfortably...we all love to cook. The men enjoyed the fire pit and rowing around in the pond. Everyone enjoyed having a comfortable bed to retire to at the end of the night. This will be the first time that the family requested to return to the Same rental next year... and we plan on doing just that! A beautiful home with a great owner and caretakers"
