  • A celebration at The Lake House

"We had a great time! 13 adults, 4 kids and 16 paws and we still had room for more. Lol the house was spacious, inside and out. My husband and I slept at the quaint little guest house. Talk about "right at home", the main celebration was at the Lake House and the serenity and peace right by the water was awesome. The owners were amazing, we met them on the first day, they were so sweet and accomodating. Great advice on things to do and honey holes fishing. Lots of activities for everyone to get into from reading, relaxing on the deck to fishing, and even a few games of tether ball. The views from inside the house to out on the deck were breath taking. The deck off the house allowed us to enjoy the relaxation and the ability of keeping a close eye on the rambunctious 3yr old who fell in love with the open yard between the house and the lake. The kitchen was open and allowed multiple people to prepare food while keeping conversation with everyone else lounging. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. I didn't get a chance to ask the owners what type of matresses the bed had but the bed in the guest house was heaven. And on our last day, we saw deer off the back screened in porch. We could have stayed forever but the best part is we will be back! I thought for sure that when all my techy guys found out there was NO wi-fi, that would be the end but it wasn't they said several times it's nice to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings. That's when I knew, we are definitely coming back to The Lake House. Thanks again to the owners for such a honey hole of heaven! God bless you and all that come to stay."

  • Great Weekend Getaway!

"My wife and I were looking to get out of the city for the weekend and celebrate our anniversary. We also wanted to bring our dog. This house was absolutely perfect. Clean, cozy, exactly what we were looking for. Neighborhood was quiet, morning walks were serene. Beautiful view from the backyard overlooking the water. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and we used the grill for burgers. Our dog loved it, although the ladder stairs did freak him out a little. Having the back yard fenced all the way around gave us peace of mind when he was out there. Shower was a little tight, but endless hot water made up for it. Decorations were unique and fun, and the DVD collection has some great classics. Would have loved to use the canoe, but didn't know exactly how to launch it, and it was huge. Still had fun playing cornhole and thorwing the football. The house is minutes from the town square, grocery stores, restaurants, and there was a carnival going on that weekend as well! Perfect! We will definitely be coming back to visit, and I highly recommend you do as well."

  • Çomfortable rustic yet refined cabin.

"We stayed at the cabin as we are not usually comfortable in the standard hotel setting. The cabins are located in the Jellystone campground with quick access to the Fort Worth area (~ 20 minutes). Our stay was very relaxing and quiet. The cabin was very well thoughtout with a cozy fireplace, comfortable and stylist furnishing, and a large bath with a small functional kitchette (coffee, fridge, and microwave). We loved the style of the cabin, very Sante Fe with warm furnishings. We enjoyed out stay and are happy that we elected for the cozy cabin in lieu of a sterile hotel."
