  • Thanksgiving Family Reunion

"We had a Thanksgiving family reunion at Lilac Haven in November of 2015. The place was incredible! We had a group of 30, which included 9 adults and 21 kids. There was so much room that we never felt crowded at all. The views were great. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone to be comfortable. The rooms were all very nice. One of our favorite things was the big rooms upstairs with all the trundle beds, which made it awesome for all the cousins to get to sleep in the same areas. The two kitchens were great for making our Thanksgiving dinner. We brought a few large pots, pans, and cooking utensils in case the house didn't have them, but the house had everything we could think of for making our big meal. Anytime I had a question, I emailed the owner and got a response within a few minutes. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place to anyone."

  • Great vacation home for family

"We loved staying at Lazy Moose Cabin! Ethan was very easy to get a hold of whenever I had a question. The home was immaculate, spacious, comfortable, equiped and well cared for. The playground equipment was a hit for our grandchildren. We were close enough to Ideal beach at South shore where we had other family staying that we could easily access the lake there. I am unsure whether we really had access to the lake and beach had we not been able to use the beach at Ideal. We have sail boats so that would have been an issue if we wouldn't have had Ideal's beach. It is a great location though right by Pickleville Playhouse and riding trails. Such a beautiful Lake to visit and having an air conditioned place to come home to after a day at the hot beach was wonderful!"

  • Awesome Views

"We had more than enough space with 18 people. Having a washer and dryer plus a stocked kitchen was great. It had only the basics but it was functional. The kids enjoyed eating out on the deck. There is a bathroom on each floor which made things easy. The pull outs were easy to put back and pull out. One thing to consider is that the upstairs is a loft so you can hear everything from the main level. The manager gave us great insider tips on where the good fishing was and things to do in the area. Everything was ready and very nice. We even had some firewood provided. We would come back."

  • Beautiful Home!

"This home was perfect for our family! Each family had their own room with bathroom and the large open kitchen/living area was wonderful! The second refrigerator was a total must-have! The view was fantastic! We loved eating out on the deck because of the view! The bedrooms were surprisingly spacious - the bottom level rooms even had high ceilings! The loft is huge - it has 2 futons, and then still has so much room that you can sleep tons of kids on the floor! The master suite is on the main floor, 2 bedrooms on either side of the loft on the upper level, and 3 bedrooms on the lower level. Each level has its own thermostat. The location was close to everything. It's truly a fantastic house - but communication with the owner was not easy. We felt like we had to pull information out of her. And then during our stay, the WiFi didn't work for the 5 days we were there. The owner referred us to the internet company (who said it sounded like a router problem) but the owner never followed up to see if we ever got it working. Also, a previous guest had put parental locks on two of the t.v.'s (the ones in the common areas) so viewing selection was extremely limited and nothing was done to fix that either. The a/c and fan also went out on the lower level while we were there so the basement was quite stuffy and muggy until evening when we could open windows for air flow. All that being said, we'd probably stay there again now that we know what we're in for - but we'd probably check to make sure some things had been remedied first."
