  • excellent 1 BR condo in amazing location

"If you are looking for a 1 Bedroom condo in deer valley look no further. this was our first trip to the area and we scored this gem. If you are unfamiliar with DV layout, this is in silver lake, right next to sterling express lift and steps away from the silver lake village and several restaurants (which we never actually ate at...we preferred to take included transportation service into Park City each night). There are ski rental places steps away from you as well. Its mid-mountain location is great for catching first chair and beating all the others to the top for freshly groomed snow in the morning. It is about a 10 minute drive to downtown park city from the underground parking garage attached to unit. However, if you are looking for a exciting night life or rowdy après ski scene you wont find it here. Location is so good we literally put on our ski boots on the back patio (pictured above) and walked 10 steps thru the snow to attach our skis and get on the lift. The personal hot tub has a fabulous view of the mountain and we got several comments even from some DV ski instructors walking by on how great our location was while we relaxed with a beverage in the hot tub. the inside of the condo unit has 2 fireplaces and has been renovated recently to look spectacular. It really has all the comforts of home, plus heated floors which my wife loved! Included in stay was firewood, laundry supplies, dish soap, coffee supplies, newspaper...literally everything we needed. I actually hesitated to book this place because we thought we might prefer a more "full service" experience that you can get at a hotel...but in reality the service here is one of the best aspects. The manager Ron is excellent. he anticipated our arrival, met us in garage and personally assisted us into unit for check in. His 3 sons work for him and serve as drivers to take you to town in evenings. It was like having a personal concierge but without the stuck up attitude you get at 5 star hotels. there are ONLY one downside I can think of: cost...Its not cheap but neither is anything in Deer Valley, as we learned. If we have the ability to come back again we will in a heartbeat."

  • Very functional for a family and easy to get to the slopes

"This unit met our needs as a skiing family with some members who don't yet ski. The unit was as advertised and the owner was conscientious in answering what few questions we had. It is conveniently located to allow for walking to the slopes or easily driving the little ones to ski school at the base and driving into town for shopping and dining. We would definitely rent it again foe our extended family."

  • PERFECT FAMILY SKI TRIP

"Wow! We can't say enough about our wonderful week at Abode Glenfiddich in Deer Valley, We were a 3 generation family of 8 and Glenfiddich fit our needs perfectly. The family with children stayed up stairs in the loft and the rest of the adults were down stairs away from the chaos. The condo was better equipped than my own home. The home was furnished with a luxe western theme and coming from Miami, that was just what we wanted. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The bath towels were plush and the bed linens comfy. There was even one humidifier. We never used the hot tub because the jacusi tubs in the bathrooms were so inviting. We loved the gas quick start fireplaces. Even though our week in Utah barely got above 0, we were always very warm even with the thermostats on 68. As we rented on-line, I was very pleased to see that the condo looked even better than the on-line photos. I'm sure this condo would be just as enjoyable in summer as in winter. The ONLY drawback for some people would be the flight of stairs. There is no elevator. The owner/managers were always responsive to our needs. We loved their help in setting up reservations ahead of time. Their suggestions for the Snowed Inn Sleigh Ride and Dinner and Riverhorse restaurant were terrific. We would highly recommend both. As for Deer Valley as a ski resort, I've never seen better service. We loved that there were no snow boarders, no lift lines and an incredible children's program. We hope to be back in a couple of years!"

  • The Perfect Place!!

"We actually stayed at the house for 2 months & it really was perfect - to get down to the lift (via the "Last Chance" Ski run - which is a Blue Run by the way!) you just walk across the street & down about half a block and there's a trail right down to Last Chance; and the very same for coming home, except it's about a block & a half walk. You're also about 3 blocks from several great restaurants. The house is about 5 minutes by car to Main Street Park City. The house has everything you will need, no matter how long you stay, master bedroom is on the 3rd floor, 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, "mud" room, fantastic kitchen & a living room with a really great, huge fireplace. It's also a great area to stay - easy access to the slopes on Deer Valley, quiet neighborhood that's within minutes of great restaurants, ski lifts (base lodge & Silver Lake Lodge - Silver Lake being 3 blocks from the house) and Main Street. If you rent a car, there's plenty of room in the garage & you can even steam wash the snow & mud off of your car in the garage. Another item that's helpful, with a group that comes home from skiing at different times, is the code panel by the garage - just punch in the code & the garage door opens - extremely helpful! The hot tub works perfectly & is very "handy" after a long day of skiing. Last but not least, are your "Hosts" Brad & Suzanne - restaurant ideas, activities around Park City, where to get the best ski gear, you name it, they can & will be off the charts helpful with anything that might come up.We highly recommend the house - we found it to be the best all around house we've ever stayed that's also ski-in/ski-out - a truly fantastic vacation home!!!"
