  • Very convenient location; pleasant

"This was a great place to stay. Great location. Clean and pleasantly furnished. Probably best for one or two people, though you can squeeze in 3-4. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Everything was perfect

"We stayed here while visiting Salt Lake for the first time and we were happy with everything about the house. We liked the layout because it afforded us lots of extra space to spread out but it was also an open-air layout so we could hang out together when we wanted. The bedrooms were all large and comfortable and the bathroom was very large & spacious. The back yard was excellent and I wish we had had more time to enjoy it - maybe next trip!"

  • Beautiful house, neighborhood a little rough

"Would rate it 4.5 if I could. This home is very nicely done, comfortable with a really great kitchen. The back yard is an amazing oasis with a koi pound, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen. The one bath and half bath make it nice for four people to share the home. My only nit pick is the neighborhood. It's up and coming. The neighbors around the house were very nice and friendly. Up the block is a dicey apartment house with few questionable people hanging outside at almost all hours. Mama bear instinct here only. We had absolutely no trouble and would stay here again."

  • A gem of a hideaway

"As I was born and raised in the neighborhood (but have not lived there for decades), I knew what I was doing when I booked this charming cottage for our annual 10-day winter pilgrimage. We were not disappointed! It is perfect for a couple, or, perhaps, a family with one or two small children. We took along our grad student daughter. We were still on speaking terms the end of our ten day stay <wink>. If you intend to make use of the canyons surrounding Salt Lake City (for skiing or hiking), this location is centrally located at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon -- just 20 minutes to Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude and probably 30 minutes to Park City, Deer Valley and The Canyons. It provides easy access to all four major canyons (Big Cottonwood, Little Cottonwood, Millcreek, and Parley's). Plus, it is diagonally across the street from one of the finest restaurants in the city (The Tuscany) and a quaint, legendary hamburger joint (The Cotton Bottom), and a five minute drive from a host of others. Yet, its setting is woodsy-rustic: pristine Little Cottonwood Creek runs next to the cottage. The friendly, attentive and accommodating (but not at all intrusive) owner lives in the main house. We will return often--summer and winter."
