  • Perfect location, Beautiful surroundings, Spacious cabin, Attentive owners and the BEST snow!

"Our family of six, including four tough-to-impress, older/grown kids spent mid-March at the cabin and EVERYONE had a wonderful experience! We had great communication with the owners from the beginning and, once there, they quickly answered every single (silly) question we asked. We landed at SLC late at night and were able to find the cabin and get in within 25-30 minutes. DO heed the 4x4 rental warning. We needed it on the last two days when we went overnight from highs of 66F to 12" of snow! The cabin itself is spacious; The owners threw in many nice details - different coffees, teas, soaps, bath salts, etc. The kitchen has every possible small appliance and cooking tool you could need - rice cooker, griddle, great pans, baking sheets, pyrex-es, etc. The long, beautiful kitchen counter and huge sofa allowed us to enjoy dinners and the ensuing lazy evenings together, after our tiring ski days. There's a nice fireplace inside and a great firepit area outside the front door. There's also a really nice creek not 50 steps from the cabin, which kept the kids entertained for hours with trout sightings and cool pools to wade into (yes, in March! :). Within a mile's walk, there is a popular rock climbing area (The Gate, The Thumb, etc.) that can keep you busy in good weather. Also, on our day off from skiing, we visited Lisa Falls and Hidden Falls - both are mild, short hikes for kids (or lazy/sore-legged teenagers ;) For other Utah first-timers - There are two main roads that lead you to the skiing areas - One to Snowbird and Alta (6 miles from cabin!). The other to Solitude and Brighton (about 20 minutes). Being that close to the ski areas not only made it quick and convenient to ski but also kept you in the mountain environment as opposed to a hotel in the nearby town. (~11 miles to the 24-hour WalMart) Additional random info: Although I am partial to Google Maps, use Apple Maps to map the cabin address. G-Maps did NOT find the address! For ski lift tickets, we went for a Super Pass which let us ski any of the four ski areas mentioned. We rented from Creekside Sports Rental (8a-5p) at the base of Snowbird's Entry #1. (again, just 6 miles away!). Creekside gave us a 40% discount with the SuperPass. Try to get the SuperPasses first - Creekside needs the actual pass (not your printed proof) to give you the discount. Brighton has night skiing. (not Wednesdays, I think.) The SuperPass lets you ski Brighton and Solitude on the same day."

  • What a great place!

"It was our first time to visit Deer Valley and I'm so glad we chose to stay here! We have two elementary aged children so being able to walk to the slopes was key. The location is ideal and we walked back & forth as needed very easily. --- The condo was perfect for our family. The beds were large and comfortable, the finishes throughout were so nicely updated, the lodge-like decor and feel was cozy, the eating area and bar were perfect for all of our meals & being able to use the hot tub after a day on the slopes, was great fun. My kid also loved being able to select a movie from the collection to relax for the evening. There really was everything there that we needed & wanted. I will highly recommend to friends! Thank you!"

  • Perfect Condo with excellent skiing

"My husband and daughter just returned from 5 days at Solitude. I planned this trip as a Christmas present for them. They enjoyed the skiing at Solitude. Staff throughout the resort was friendly and there were no lines. They spent one day at Snowbird and considered this to be a hill geared more toward expert skiers. For those of you travelling with 5th graders, look into Utah's 5th grade passport program. My daughter's lift tickets were all free and at Solitude she got a discounted group lesson. I believe there is also a program for 6th graders. The condo location was perfect. Barry was so helpful as I planned this trip. I loved that he mailed key cards to me so there was essentially no check in process for my husband upon arrival. The key cards also allowed him to access underground parking. Per their report, the condo was quiet and beds were comfortable. Because of the direction the condo faces, they were able to enjoy lunch in the sun on the balcony - in shorts even :). Their favorite restaurant was Silver Fork Lodge, and Stone Haus had excellent huckleberry ice cream, so I'm told. I suspect we will return to Solitude as a family and we will most definitely book with Barry again."

  • Great time at Crimson Cliff.

"We had a very nice time. The place was very comfortable for the 8 of us. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and spices and that really helped when we cooked in. We enjoyed the hot tub & foosball. Thanks!"
