  • Great, well appointed property in beautiful setting.

"The log cabin is spacious, airy and filled with light but in a hot July well equipped with AC and fans. This was within three miles of the wedding we attended so very convenient yet tucked away in a pastoral setting. We had two babies with us so the kitchen and well working appliances were very helpful. Over all this was a great place to stay in a lovely town in Vermont."

  • From One Shore To Another

"Living just 2 blocks from the ocean, it had been years since our last "real" vacation much less since we were in the greater Lake George area. Needless to say, it was well worth the wait, and the lake house was everything we were hoping it would be. Off the beaten track, but easy enough to find with everything you could need or want just a quick & scenic drive away. The house was quaint, clean & welcoming with an amazing view that just pulls you out of your seat and demands that you get outside! Kayaking was amazing with bald eagles & blue herons guiding the way, and the fish were biting every line. After dark, stargazing was hypnotizing with shooting stars abound... As much as we love a campfire, we couldn't bring ourselves to light up the sky! Very quiet, amazingly private, and did I mention the view?!? If you want to "unplug" and detox from the usual daily grind, leave your laptop and cell phones behind because this is the place to do it! My only complaint?- That we didn't stay longer! Thank you so much Joyce & Dennis!!!!"

  • country feel but on a main road

"The property was more rustic lake cabin than i thought, but that was ok. The old flooring and exposed beams were quaint and really increased the "old farmhouse" look and feel. The bathrooms and kitchen were modern and that was important to me. The game room was fully taken advantage of by our party. The pond at your back door was great, not too many fish but it was the fun was in trying and we were successful a few times. The fire pit was nice and the little summer house with outdoor furniture was neat. We took advantage of the rowboat and got out on the lake several times. There is some resident wildlife that my whole family enjoyed seeing every morning. It was very close to bennington and could easily travel out to sightsee, eat and shop. It was a delightful vacation. The only things I have to complain about was the noise from the road (which the owner warned me about in advance), no garbage service (I traveled 15 hours and could not take it back with me!) and not enough fans ( it was hot a few times at night and only had 1 fan). It was a nice place to stay and would recommend."
