"Our family had a great ski vacation and everything was as advertised. No surprises whatsoever. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."

  • Charming house in great location with amazing owners

"The owners of this house are the best!!! From my initial inquiry to the day we left, they were responsive, welcoming and a pleasure to get to know. The house is a true antique with lots of charm and character. Everyone in our group loved their respective bedrooms and we enjoyed time together watching the Olympics in the cozy living room. It was a great house for us."

  • A cozy cottage by the Battenkill River

"We loved our Christmas getaway to this small and comfortable riverside house with our small dogs and our 25 year old daughter. The house has easy access to both Manchester and Manchester Depot but is in a quiet area abot 2 minutes from The Equinox Hotel. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to make great meals. We spent a lot of time in the room with the wood stove and were toasty warm. 3 of our daughter's friends came up[ for a couple of days to ski and the two bathrooms came in handy. The dining table has bench seats and after dinner we spent each night playing games and having a good time. For outdoor activities, Bromley is10 minutes away, Stratton 25 minutes, and Killington just an hour. We also hiked two trails (Prospect Rock and Lye Brook Falls) which are with 10 minutes of the house. We (my wife and daughter) visited a bunch of the outlets (Eddie Bauer was the favorite). The Vermont Butcher Shop ( has INCREDIBLE tenderloin and other meats (all local) and Fortunas Sausage Shop ( cant be missed . We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay."

  • Exceeding Expectations

"Although the photos genuinely represent this home, they don't capture the peace and tranquility one experiences once in the home. It has a way of simultaneously feeling roomy and cozy~and despite the beautiful dining room, we found ourselves eating almost every meal in the kitchen with the small fireplace and drinking our coffee in the comfortable chairs. While on vacation, we typically look forward to wood-burning fireplaces, however, aside from in the kitchen, we found ourselves enjoying the sheer convenience of the gas fireplace in the family room. I could have spent every morning soaking in the antique claw-foot tub with the spa like hot water~ but then we would have missed walking around the property, shopping and just enjoying how beautiful Vermont is. The only additional amenity that we could have asked for is a small cable upgrade to access some of the networks with movies. Since my husband and I both work Monday through Saturday, we really look forward to relaxing with a movie or two while away on vacation. With that said, we would still be excited to stay again and recommend without reservation."
