  • perfect weekend

"Stayed here for a romantic, music-filled, foodie, beer weekend with my husband. This place is top-shelf. The owner is almost immediately responsive to any communication. Great recommendations for food. This place is immaculate and beautifully decorated. A nice eclectic mix of traditional/rustic/modern. We enjoyed that we were within walking distance to the theater, restaurants, bars and shopping, but not TOO close. The walk was great. I loved the upscale organic shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Nice touch. Also enjoyed the fancy cookies and assortment of Keurig coffees left for us. I left something behind and it was mailed to me the next day. We plan on returning in the summer."

  • Wonderful, clean home that can fit 10 adults comfortably

"The property was great! My group of 10 adults (3 couples and 4 singles) fit in the home comfortably. We had the bottom level of the duplex. I originally had concerns about sharing a property with up to ten other people that we didn't know, but it was never an issue and I'm sure that the tenant requirements that the owners set forth are a big reason why. The house was very warm and well insulated and the fire place provided ample heating. The bunk beds are "adult sized" and even the biggest of my group (6'4", 230lbs) fit in the bunk comfortably. We even had a couple sleep in one of the bunks when the resident snorer was kicked out of the bunk room to the sofa bed. One point of caution with the property, and it is mentioned in the listing, is that it is located up a fairly long hill, parts of which can be a little steep. I would recommend all wheel drive if staying here, or at least good tires. Overall, an excellent place with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. To top it off, Lori was very responsive and provided timely and useful feedback throughout."

  • Perfect Vermont Cabin

"I've been to this house in both winter and summer time. It is perfect for both. For the winter, its proximity to Killington is great, just a few miles to the lift. But when the weather was too nasty to ski, there's plenty to do inside the house and on the grounds of the property. Summer time we had just as much, if not more fun. The river and mountain on the property allow for lots of outdoor activities. The front porch, outdoor seating around the fire pit, and the Long Trail Brewery down the street are all fantastic places to enjoy a few frosty bronsons. The house was definitely worth the price of admission and it will not be the last time I visit."

  • Lovely Mix of Old Vermont and Modern Conveniences

"My husband and I greatly enjoyed our week's stay at this beautiful spacious home. in the dining room, living room, and screened in porch, we could pretend that we were citizens of Vermont shortly after the American Revolution-enjoying fabulous views of flowers and lawns. In the family room, kitchen and bathroms we enjoyed all the beneits of reently updated features and 21st century technology. Nancy and Tom, the owners, gave us great tips on surrounding attractions, from restaurants, to the farmer's market, to a great hiking trail with breathtaking views. We enjoyed a side trip (15 minutes) to the Weston Priory and the Vermont Country Store. We highly recommend this home to one and all!"
