  • Just waiting to get back here now...

"We held our family reunion here this past Labor Day Weekend. It was the perfect location for a diverse group and we were able to house 9 people for $300/night . The backyard is amazing, with activities for all levels of fitness. Here is a list of what we did out there : croquet, hill rolling, yoga, finding crayfish in the stream (and respectfully observing, not grabbing, them, haha), meandering, raspberry and blackberry picking, picture taking, hottubbing, beer tasting, picnicking, exploring the woods. The house itself has all of the essential parts to a successful weekend with a family. There was a suite for the family with the baby. There was a downstairs bedroom for parents who don't want to negotiate stairs. There was a large kitchen and stove (Aga, my first time cooking on one). There was a screened in porch that could seat twelve comfortably for dinner . Etc etc- if you are trying to entertain a large group this is the place to do it . Also may personal touches are evident, from the Laura Ashley-decorated girl's bedroom to the numerous towels in every one of the 5 bathrooms. The couple who manages this property were responsive, professional and easy to deal with. They even made brownies that were on the counter when we arrived. What a welcome ! I would stay here again in a second: the hottub was clean, the house was clean and comfortable. I can't even think of a suggestion for making it better because they've thought of many small touches that made it feel like home. What a good find in the Northeast Kingdom - 5 stars and then some !"

  • Lovely cabin in a tranquil and charming area

"We enjoyed very much our stay and wanted to thank the owners for allowing us to share all the facilities with us. The house is located at the end of a wondrous road and just as recommended winter tires or 4x4 is a must. It sits on a small hill in front of the river and faces an open area with a relaxing view. We used the BBQ and the wooden stove, both well equipped. The house has everything to make you feel welcome and enjoy your stay: books, CDs, games, not to mention kitchen gear and washer/dryer. The staff from the rental agency is equally helpful and pleasant. The day before our departure there was a winter storm. We called expressing concerns about the plowing of the road. Allison reassured us the village handles this appropriately (and they came about 3times until the next morning) when the owner's plowing company came and cleaned the driveway. Overall we had a great time. Highly recommend the cabin and the rental agency!"

  • Well utilized space for comfort and larger groups.

"We really enjoyed our stay and the home is convienent for larger groups who need multiple beds. The kitchen is well stock for cooking and has a larger table for eating and group gatherings. The edges of the house do get cold at time but is manageable if you leave doors open and blankets. The living area could us an update but was comfortable and the fireplace was nice and was easy to use. Overall it's an average house that checks all the boxes so you can have a great time around Stowe or other nearby attractions. We would definitely stay again."

  • Very nice in every respect!

"Very very nice property! Beautifully renovated and expanded house. Premier location at the end of a road. And for anyone that likes to cook, having a kitchen that is fully equipped makes a huge difference. This is a FULLY equipped kitchen! Best we have ever encountered in fact."
