  • Wonderful, warm and welcoming vacation home!

"4 couples had a wonderful stay at this very accommodating ski house. We only needed to bring our personal gear. All the amenities awaited us including a TV in every BR as well as TVs in the upstairs living room and downstairs family room. We all had our private ensuite BRs which, for our age group, was very appreciated. The deck had a grill and seating for at least a dozen. There were games, books, movies to provide entertainment for the rare "downtime" as the location lends itself to biking, hiking, and easy access to downtown. We were impressed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the property. In fact, I would say the pictures and discription don't do the property justice. Summertime is great at this location and we imagine this setting must be beautiful when blanketed in snow. We were so comfortable and felt "at home" immediately. Dinner at Harrison's was delicious as was our Italian feast at Junior's. The biking trail (very nearby) is one of the prettiest we've experienced. Thank you, Rich, your ski house is a gem."

  • Charming Log Cabin

"My husband and I stayed here with two of our friends and our two labs. As soon as I stepped inside, I fell in love with the place! It is so cozy, comfortable, and charming! We especially loved all the exposed wood, the gas fireplace, and the clawfoot tub! There are great views from the backyard (and from almost every room in the house), and it feels very private. We enjoyed walking the XC ski trails (sadly there was no snow during our visit), which were accessible right from the backyard. It is a close drive to Richmond, and even Burlington and Stowe are only about 45 mins away. We skiied at Bolton Valley, which was only about 20 mins away. Overall, we had an amazing time and enjoyed staying here very much. The house was stocked with everything we needed and Chaska was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We can't wait to come back again next year!"

  • Peaceful, relaxing retreat with plenty to do

"We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was just what we needed for a rustic weekend away. The cabin was spotless and just as pictured. We loved sitting up on the porch in the rocking chairs, taking the kayaks out for an early morning paddle and exploring the trails all around the pond. The location was perfect for exploring the town of Stowe too. Our 3 year old had a ball and is already talking about when we can return to the cabin. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us."

  • Mountain Fun

"My family and I spent a week in Elaine's property while we were vacationing in Stowe. We have rented numerous vacation properties over the years in the US and Europe and this one was at the very top of the stack! The overall house was large and well laid out: my teenage kids could spread out and still be away from the common areas. The kitchen and family room were large and well appointed, and the property was situated such that we had fantastic 270 degree views of the mountains. (Winter and Fall must be awesome!) We took advantage of the nearby gondola to take the easy way up to Mount Mansfield, and there were more hiking trails within two miles of the house than we could have managed in a month. There is really good downhill and cross-country mountain biking within an hour of Stowe, but biking in the local area was good, too, and offered more variety for well maintained trails and roads. Stowe Village was a few minutes away by car, but the break from that traffic turned out to be nice and all of the better family oriented and upper end restaurants were between Stowe resort and the village of Stowe anyway, so we thought the property was more convenient than when we were actually staying in Stowe. We ended up grilling and cooking at home most times anyway because the views were better and we couldn't get enough of being so closely connected to the great outdoors on the balcony at the foot of the mountains. Overall, our family consensus was that this was the best place we'd ever stayed and if we ever go back to Stowe, we wouldn't consider any other property!"
