  • Great Christmas Present!!!

"This was a great family vacation (7 of us) the week between Christmas and New Years. We had a wonderful time playing in the snow, snow tubing on the property, and warming up in the hot tub. Jay Peak Ski Resort is within easy driving distance, where we ice skated at the Ice Haus, went to the indoor Pump House water park, and rode the tram up the mountain for a breathtaking view and hot chocolate. There is also skiing, dogsledding and snowmobiling available in the area. The log cabin is large, roomy, well equipped, and very comfortable. The owner, Dennis, makes sure you have everything you need, including a supply of firewood for the fireplace, the roads cleared if necessary, and the local Evansville Trading Post is nearby for groceries etc. My husband and I rented the cabin as a family Christmas present, and this was the first time our Florida grandchildren had seen and played in snow. It was a wonderful week in a wonderful place, and created many wonderful memories for all of us. I would definitely recommend this cabin for any family. Thank you for your great hospitality Dennis!!"

  • Pictures don't do it justice

"The condo and facility was everything we could have asked for. Susan was extremely responsive and helpful in terms of check-in, check-out instructions as well as providing details of the facilities and things to do in the area. The pictures don't really do it justice, we were surprised by how big the place was and how the layout really gave it a ski house/loft feel as opposed to a condo feel. The rec center with pool/hot tub/tavern/fitness center was easily walk able. The bus stop to the base lodge was just outside the front door and only a 5 min ride. We were initially wary about sending a check instead of doing things electronically but Susan communicated the whole way through and made everything work out just fine."

  • The house is nicer than it appear in person

"When we pulled up to the house, it seem smaller in person but it was more beautiful in person. It was small but perfect for my family with five children. They all enjoyed the loft upstair with the two futon. The house has everything you need and you don't really have to bring anything else. The only downside that I don't like is the bugs and the deck. The bugs you can't really do anything about but the deck to be felt kind of unstable. I would guess it was probably from all the snow and rain and over time it would warped but it's ok, I had the children play on the grass anyways. There was lots of beautiful scenery and it was very peaceful , which is what we need. I would def come back."

  • Wonderful home, wonderful trip!

"We spent a week at this property recently and couldn't have been happier! The house itself was well-appointed and had everything we could possibly need. The homeowner was accessible and accommodating...a pleasure to deal with. My son's favorite feature was the foosball table and my daughter liked the loft, but the home had something for everyone. Perfect kitchen, updated appliances and lots of space! Ludlow itself was a great central location for sightseeing all around the state of Vermont. Would definitely stay here again!"
