  • A perfect getaway

"My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at Laurel's. The cabin is small but feels spacious, and has everything you need for a relaxing time away. We read some of the eclectic and expansive book collection and decided we need to come back to finish our reading! The view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains is breathtaking and it's amazing how close the lake is for a nice stroll. It is completely secluded and private, but also close to delicious food (Try the poutine at the Halfway House Restaurant!!), great hiking spots, and not far from Burlington or Rutland. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you Laurel! You're wonderful!"

  • Amazing Experience

"My wife and our little 2 year old lab were looking for a nice quiet getaway to escape our busy everyday lives. This place was the perfect place to unwind. When we arrived Barb was nice enough to show us around the house to make us feel comfortable as to where everything was. The views of the lake are breath taking from anywhere inside of the house. Just waking up to the views or eating breakfast and looking out of the window made you not want to leave the house at all. We did do some touristy things during our 5 day trip. The accommodations were two thumbs up. In addition to the view, the other great part of the stay was that the house had an open floor layout so you always felt connected with others in a different room. The fire place kept us nice and warm at night while we were catching up on our television shows. If you have amazon fire or a google chromcast, be sure to bring it as the television in the house has limited tv stations, however, we did have a dvd player and we brought many movies. NY State is just a 5 minute drive down the road and over the bridge where we were able to walk and run our furry friend. Overall it was an amazing trip."

  • Great Cabin for family get together

"A very nice rustic cabin. Fun game room. The younger adults loved the bedroom in the loft and climbing the ladder to get there. The hot tub was a very nice touch. We had a wonderful family Thanksgiving there."

  • Peaceful and perfect!!

"Kim is a sweet owner who had a beautiful home. It was clean, well maintained, with amazing views and peaceful sounds that take you away from every worry or care. Our five children enjoyed every minute in the lake and boats and making snores at the fire. The accommodations were perfect for them (there was also enough hot water for us all to take showers). They had room to play and Kim only made us all feel at home and welcomed. The only negative thing was : leaving. We will miss the moon and stars and water but we made some great memories in a beautiful location."
