  • Location! Location! Location!

"This lovely home is steps away from biking and hiking trails; minutes away from downtown Burlington for delicious food and drink; and faces the lake and mountains where we spent relaxed afternoons soaking in the views and catching a breeze on the screened porch. As a family with adult children, we had a wonderful extended Labor Day weekend. We took advantage of the many amenities that were offered at "the camp". The information and photographs are accurate. I would visit again and highly recommend to others!"

  • Very comfortable home

"We were in Shelburne for our niece's wedding. The ceremony was held at the Trinity Episcopal Church. The reception was held at Shelburne Farms. This house was located right in between. It worked out perfect. There were pre-wedding activities held in Burlington, which was about 15-20 minutes away. There is a nice trail close by to bike or walk. Playgrounds a short distance. We walked to town for coffee and shopping at the general store.' The owner, Jessica was great to work with. Highly recommend this home."

  • Cassie--Our Granddaughter's Wedding

"We were blessed to be a part of our granddaughter's wedding in Burlington, June 25. In preparation for the wedding, we looked for a place where 4 to 8 people, and a few more could stay. We went on line to VRBO and found 613 Mile Point Road. The stone house is magnificent with every amenity you could ask for. As you sit early in the morning in the Adirondack chairs...looking at the Adirondacks on the New York side, you will feel the magic of the lake. A cup of coffee in the morning will welcome the day, and a cocktail in the evening will signal the end. Sometimes, you can even exchange the two. Between these experiences, there are many things to see and do--Shelburne Museum, our favorite, Ben & Jerry's for ice cream fans, Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, Cabot Cheese, and Dakin Farms. But, at the end, you will always come back to the lake where swimming, canoeing, and kayaking is offered and wonderful. We have but two disappointments with our visit...it was not long enough, and we never saw Champ. Having dealt with Lynne Lear, she may well be Champ. We'll go back to find out. You should too."

  • Home away from Home

"We (Me, husband, 14 month old son, sister-in-law and a friend) went here for a relaxing weekend. Although the weather was not so forgiving, with mostly rain and cold temperature, we very much enjoyed our stay here. Too bad we weren't able to use the lounge chair and the row boat nor the grill, but this place is breath taking with the lake just a step away from the cottage. What's even more breath taking is the sunset that you can actually watch from the inside porch. The cottage itself is well equipped and very nice and clean. We will consider renting this place again next time and will recommend it to family and friends."
