  • Perfect getaway

"The camp was exactly what we were looking for. We had a group of 12 and the house had more than enough room. The waterfront was truly unique and unforgettable. We had a fire every night (right on the waterfront!) while the waves splashed off the rocks. The camp is definitely secluded but not in the middle of nowhere. We caught some live music at the winery less than a mile from the camp and Burlington is less than a 30 minute drive. The house if nicely furnished but it’s a vacation home, if you’re looking for 4-star amenities then you probably want to check something else out. The home was clean and full of character. Also, our lab was welcome at the camp! Absolutely perfect... We will be back for sure!! Thanks!"

  • Spectacular location, wonderful gathering place for family!

"My husband had to pry me out of my favorite Adirondack chair down by the lake after we spent five weeks here in this lovely spot. The location is near lovely towns and farms, discovered on beautiful roads in the most peaceful setting with boats going in and out all day to the nearby (hidden) marina. I hiked, my husband golfed at three nearby courses, we entertained family (including a passel of grandkids) and friends (whom I also had to pry out of their chairs). The Foster-Provencher family were very helpful and lovely to deal with. Highly recommend this spot and we hope to come back someday. And don't miss nearby Goodies Snack Bar!"

  • Great stay!

"I stayed with a group of friends attending a wedding. We had an awesome time and the house was so much fun. Hopefully we'll have a wedding next year and have another excuse to stay again!"

  • Great vacation!

"We are a group of 4 couples and one child ranging in ages from 5 - 92. This was our second summer vacation at this place and the fact that we’re already booked and paid our deposit for 2017 should tell you how much we like it. The previous reviewer mentioned the 2 drawbacks were no dishwasher and no bathroom on the lower level. There’s a lot of people to wash dishes so the dishwasher is not a big deal, but the bathroom is. It would make life a lot easier for the occupants of those 2 downstairs bedrooms in the middle of the night. It would also be so much easier to come in from the lake or sitting outside and have a bathroom on that level. We were surprised that there is no railing on the interior staircase. It really needs one. The property is huge so you never worry about disturbing neighbors. The house is large so everyone has space. The enclosed front porch is probably the greatest thing about the house. You can sit there rain or shine and just take in the view and enjoy the breezes blowing in through the many windows. We can’t say enough about that porch. This year a large table was added to one end of the porch which was great. We ate all our dinners out there. Once you’ve heated up the kitchen with cooking it’s nice to be able to move out to the porch to eat. We came to this rental after several years at another property. We had amassed a box of “necessities” based on what was lacking at the other rental. This house is so well equipped that we have decided to leave almost all of those items at home. The kitchen has tons of dishes, pots & pans, silverware, and glassware. The bedding is very nice (we bring our own sheets & towels), and 2 of the main floor bedrooms have air conditioners in addition to several portable fans throughout the house. It would be really great if there was a 2nd fridge (bar size?) downstairs. The listing says it sleeps 10-12 and if you're stocking up on a trip into a larger town (with a real grocery store), that fridge fills up fast and it would great to have a place for extra juice, milk, or soft drinks! We can't wait for next year!"
